Re: This season, I be mostly..

Well I got it back and instead of it hesitating at low revs, its runs loads worse all through the rev range with a terrible misfire  So left it with them overnight to fix whatever theyve done wrong! A day in the life  I think I paid £125-150 for mine to be set up a few years back and mate...

Re: Questions about 15" wheels.

I imagine to repair any kerb damage etc would also be a pain :headscratch: Yep - scratched my first set a bit and because they are already diamond cut there is only a tiny amount left on them so if you scuff them too badly or more than once then there isn't really much you can do to repair it which...

Re: Aldi - New Car Stuff & Security Post

works to stop people parking in the space but we had someone drive over it Not sure of the make/type of those obviously Danny, but I do have to say that I think the Aldi ones are really strong, and at that price, superb value too. I bought two as I was so taken with them. Need to be well secured/bo...

Re: Aldi - New Car Stuff & Security Post

I used to manage a block of flats with one parking space specifically reserved for one of the 22 flats which had one of these foldy posts and as Hamish has said it works to stop people parking in the space but we had someone drive over it because they obviously really wanted to park there and it jus...

Re: Questions about 15" wheels.

I really like the 15x7 RS4 Nick style alloys, but very common on many Capris now ( :sorry: Nick) :D Saying that, not much else I would want to put on my car. Minilites are nice but I'm not 100% which you need to be when buying wheels. Had the 280 style which do look good on the Capri. So many wheel...

Re: Number Plate Lights

There is no real reason you cant run a separate earth wire from the light fitting to the chasis. I have had to fix both tail and headlight wiring ,not just an age thing either ( I mean the car ....not me ) the headlights got redesigned ......before I found out about the bmw angel eyes  I did ...

Re: Number Plate Lights

I think I know the answer but just wanted to double check - the rear number plate lights are earthed via the holder and screws that hold them in place correct? Yes, you are correct. The thread size is a standard M6 thread, but why bother replacing them? They should clean up easily enough with a wir...

Number Plate Lights

Morning all, I think I know the answer but just wanted to double check - the rear number plate lights are earthed via the holder and screws that hold them in place correct? One had stopped working so took it off the other day, the bulb was fine, put it back on after I'd cleaned it up a little and th...

I think the whole car has been photoshopped to look like it's on jacks - time will tell if/when Peter changes the exhaust this weekend

After spending 3 months WFH I'm now back to work 3 day's a week and I have to say thank God for that, continually WFH definitely affected me, no motivation, moody, snappy, lazy and just generally feeling like shit as one day blurred into the next, I changed a camshaft on my car over the weekend and...

Re: Tickover Part........ Lost count now.!!!!!

I've just had a coolex fitted to the GL, they are great bits of kit and never had an issue with the one in the laser either

Shame you haven't gone whole hog with the exhaust mind ;) Mine sounds even better now the whole thing is stainless - still without any silencers :drive:
