Re: Wanted - Mk3 Capri X pack kit or similar, new or used

Have you looked at the X pack kits CCI do. There is a choice as their Mk2 X pack kit also fits a Mk3.

Re: bonnet

a Mk1 Facelift bonnet will fit a Mk1 pre facelift. Mk2 bonnet is wildly different from a Mk1, it might as well be off a different car altogether.

What are your thoughts here, did you want to achieve the look of the longer bulge of a Mk1 Facelift bonnet on a Mk2 bonnet ?

Re: Seat height for the larger man

I think the Recaro seats bases are less tall than the bases of the standard Capri seats so are fitted with taller runners/ subframes to bring them up to a similar height. As others have said you could try swapping over to using standard seat runners which should reduce the height. Talk to Martin at ...

Lots in fact and over many years too.

Did you not find anything to your liking when you used the search feature to discover various forum member's take on how to improve Capri lighting ? Yep, you arent the first Capri owner to ask that question by a long way

Re: For Sale - Mk1 Ford Capri 1600 XL 1973

The Anglia axle is much narrower which would mean the rear wheels would be several inches further inboard than the front which could make for rather unusual handling. Is there any reason you haven't reverted the car to a standard Capri axle as they are not difficult to get hold of.

Can you provide a bit more information for us to go on ? What do you regard as relative condition - for that look at capris shown in photos on this forum, capris that are advertised on Ebay etc and start to get an idea of where yours would fit into the market. As others have said, an MOT and, oli ch...

Fuel pump relay repair (Injection)

The fuel pump relay is a known point of failure on Injection cars that can fail without warning. This may help you repair a fuel pump relay to good as new/ better than new condition or prevent a problem occurring. From the outside the thing looks like a standard relay, though with 5 rather than the ...

Re: My first capri, A-REG 2.0 S restoration

Its probably worth spraying on a couple of coats of isolation primer when you do it just in case.
Just dont make the mistake a mate of mine did by then forgetting about it and rubbing right through the isolation primer whilst preparing for paint. :(
