Wanted, lots of bits

Need all these parts with shipping to Essex, can pick them up if not too far away though. I need a full interior, seats front and rear and door cards front and rear, centre console (the one that runs the full length of the trans tunnel) preferably with no rips or tears but minor defects are ok as lo...

Re: Swirls in my paint

was hoping for something cheaper, £40 for some polish then another £20 for a pad?!?! Where do they get these prices from!? But, seems there are cheaper alternatives so thanks for the idea at least. This is much more affordable for my budget: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Meguiars-Swirl-X-Swirlx-450ml-Sc...

Re: Anti rust chemical

Although I have no experience with the products mentioned above, I can tell you that my experience with Jenolite has been 'mixed'. By the sounds of it the more modern, gel style rust converters seem to do a much better job. Jenolite seems to be better if you actually soak the parts in it in a jar, ...

Re: Ford Capri 2.0S 1984 B Reg 1800 Miles!!

I think the best way to sell a car is to not be clear about it and not put many pics of it up anywhere. If I was them I would go straight in to a forum where most people have a great deal of knowledge; by the sellers own admission he knows very little about them? they seem to be wholly reliant on w...

Anti rust chemical

I have a small paint blister, small and solitary on my roof about 8 inches to the left of the washer jet, nothing major and barely noticeable but i know its there so it bothers me. (OCD) I'm thinking there must be a very minor bit of surface rust or moisture under the paint, cant be anything major o...

Re: My first capri, A-REG 2.0 S restoration

Hi, Your car looks stunning, it's a credit to you. Personally, I like pepperpots, but you'll probably upset the purists by putting a set on an S! But who cares what the purists say? Keep up the good work, Andrew. Thanks man! Yeah im not that bothered by purists, ive already changed the color of the...

Re: My first capri, A-REG 2.0 S restoration

Time for a bit of a spruce up, when the car was first finished last year i kinda ran out of time and money so a few things weren't done to the best standard or at least to the high standard id prefer so over the winter things didn't endure that well, case in point the sill/lip around the whole botto...

Re: Wierd noise when pulling away

It happens when i dont use the handbrake, i rarely use it when sitting still at lights or whatnot.

No real progress to mention on the rat other things have kinda gotten in the way but we're still planning on getting it done eventually.

Wierd noise when pulling away

This isn't a major issue as it doesn't seem to affect the running of the car, but every now and then when i pull away from a standstill the car creaks, almost sounds like a mix between a fan belt slipping and an old dry shock absorber, though i know for a fact its definitely not either of those as t...

Re: exhaust knock

Not only do they knock but they also rub up against the rear wheel too if you aren't careful! Mine was knocking on the leaf spring and touching the wheel so he cut out a section, made a new bend which bent away from the wheel so it no longer touches and with lots of fiddling managed to get it away f...

Re: 1.6 laser - intermittent stalling , misfiring & bucking

I had this issue with my 2.0s, different i know but they are similar. Mine turned out to be shit in the carb, took rebuilding it twice to finally clear all the blockages, goes like a rocket ship now.

Let us know if you fix the issue and what it was.
