I cant remember what the car was but a couple of years ago, a bloke at work fitted a new 5w-21w stop & tail bulb, standard bayonet fitting & had a simliar issue. Somebody then suggested he turn the bulb 180 Degrees & re fit, to his surprise it worked, I think it was something to do with ...

Bloody hell that's a blast from the past, back in the 70's when I were a lad, my dad bought one, we could even pick up tv signals too, sound only obviously, but only downstairs as I remember

Hopefully its cleared itself. Just a thought, how old are your fuel pipes ? Ethanol in fuel eats rubber pipes & we are going from E5 to E10 later this year. You can get E10 compatible pipes, just replaced all of mine as I had fuel pissing out of the fuel pump so did it all at the same time, even...
