I agree with you there, simple, easy and fun to drive, it's true! Only downside is that for a modern car they don't half suffer with bodywork issues and rot.

Sorry Nick, just realised that you posted a similar link. Two heads are better than one though, and these things are that good they easily warrant two recommendations :)

Do you mean the Irwin ones? They have saved me a few times over the years. Not cheap but very handy to have in the toolbox. Those are the ones, yes. Remarkable things. http://s7g3.scene7.com/is/image/ae235?wid=1000&hei=1000&op_sharpen=1&layer=0&size=1000,1000&layer=1&size=10...

Re: Throttle CbLE Change

I had the same sump plug trouble. One of those removal kits worked for me when all else failed. It has sockets which sort of cuts into the knackered head as you turn it, gets a good hold on it. And you can turn it then.

Re: might have to store my capri away for a while

You're both correct in that, as I did mention before, it may be age restrictive with a lot of insurers. It's worth looking into though, it has been a typical way for young people to drive around in high performance cars for instance. Only third party cover though usually.

T.B.H I am not 100% sure however I have spoken to people who waited up to 3 years You know when you take a car to the garage and they span an easy job out for an extra hour or two, or when you have a builder take a couple of days on something he could have done in half a day, well I can't help but ...

Yes, he was a character wasn't he Andy. Had to be one of a kind with the stuff that he was doing. That bit about the Wembley jump sums him up really - necessary gearbox didn't arrive in time, so instead of using current gearbox and taking a bus away to make the jump more viable, he left 13 buses in ...

I don't think that's right? If you are using the original ballast wire, then it's not a non ballast coil that you need.
