Gonna try and make it, although I won't be in the Capri unfortunately as the engine is on a stand at the moment!
Great idea (especially as I'm in Bristol so not too far away)! Even if I don't make this one, I'd be up for others throughout the rest of the year if I can make them.

Re: Pepperpot Refurb - Colour
I don`t even get the new fashion for black alloys. Does anybody actually petition the manufacturers to introduce such features, or, God forbid, could it be a marketing ploy to make your car looks `so last year` even quicker? Black wheels is not a new thing, the original revolution 4 spokes were ava...

Re: Not sure I like the look of stretched tyres.
It's actually really not that safe either. Because of the way you have to mount the tyre to get it to seat the second bead, there is a real chance that hitting a pothole could cause one of the beads to pop off losing all pressure immediately and leaving the tyre flapping about between the rims of th...

M12 into the adaptor going to both fronts, M10 straight into the rear line. Job done!

Re: Fitting a Landrover MC
Yeah, fittings don't really make much odds TBH as long as they're both for the same size of pipework, it's the size of the MC that determines the quantity of fluid transferred and the ratio between this and the calliper pistons that determines the distance and effort required to create the stopping ...

Sounds like a lot. Paid £10.50 the last time I had one done, but that was a few months back now.

Re: Fitting a Landrover MC
From memory the rear fitting on the LR MC is a standard metric 10mm thread. As for what I did, it's probably not going to be much help, I have a custom setup with a Sierra Cosworth discs front and rear with new lines made to measure so I didn't have the same issues with fittings etc. I just used the...

Re: Fitting a Landrover MC
Capri Sport to a billet ali thing that does exactly this. Has a banjo through bolt that goes into the MC and has 2 standard sized outputs for the 2 fronts. It's not a cheap option and you could make your own up, but it does work (I've got one on mine). Cheap Option: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Capri-S...

Re: Meets in Wiltshire bath or Bristol??
I recently found out about the Avenue Drivers Club in Bristol who meet up in Queens Square on the 2nd Sunday of every month. Some really nice cars turning up (check out the flickr feed ). Would be nice to see a bunch of Capri's together down there. I'm going to try and go to the next one 12th May (i...

Re: Insurance Companies
Adrian Flux are actually pretty good for classic car policies, but it depends what you're after. Classic policy would usually be on a reduced annual mileage and doesn't always gain NCB (at least mine doesn't, but then it's so cheap it doesn't really bother me).

Re: Hose questions
For quality brakes lines you really can't go wrong with Goodridge especially for just a standard Capri brake setup.
I've also used SiliconHoses.com for custom brake lines as they make them up exactly as you want them.

Re: 2.8i caliper rebuild or replacement??
You don't really want to be cleaning any part of your brakes with WD40. To clean the brake pistons, do what you have done already and press the piston out as far as you can (without it coming out entirely) and clean it with new brake fluid. Wipe and inspect for any corrosion or scoring, then apply a...
