Re: First drive in an MG

Thanks guys and Nick. Yep NZ is grand so far. Have kept my eyes peeled for Mr McTool but no sightings as yet! Have spotted the odd classic, mainly souped up 40s pick ups but a Minor 1000, Rover P5, early Beetle, early Thunderbird and Ranchero Ute have had us pointing out the window going ooh look! ...

Re: MK1 on ebay

I'd guess that a previous owner may have had one of those universal glass pop-up sunroofs fitted when they were all the rage in the 70s and 80s. Andrew. Thats where Im at , mine has a who knows what type of aftermarket sunroof . Its been behaving but it will have to go as its getting old . Probly e...

I have a 2003 toyota Rav4 , 2l auto awd , I have it because we go places ( fishing ) we just wouldnt get to in an ordinary car , traction wise and ground clearance , and we tow the boat into some of these places , and often these places dont have a ramp for launching so its off a sandy/gravely beach...

Re: First drive in an MG

The most egregious thing to me about modern vehicles is that they are so difficult to fix by the owner. Well, that and the arsenals of sensors and cameras helping accustom us to this Orwellian nightmare of indiscriminate surveillance we're walking into. yeah but ........the young ones seem to have ...

I have a light in my other car which comes on if the fan activates: on the motorway the bulb will glow slightly as the wind is turning the fan blades (and a dynamo is just a motor in reverse)
There must be other issues for that to happen :D

Re: MK1 on ebay

Id say poor sunroof repair . If you look in the pic prior to the one with the cracks it sorta looks like the roof profile is wrong ..... like someone used a bit of flat sheet to fill the sunroof hole . :)
