Re: Removing brake servo??

yup it was a right bastard getting to the top nut, but a 13mm socket on a 1/4 ratchet worked well after loosening with a deep drop ring. I really don't like getting upside down and deep under the dash- got to be done sometimes..... Now to clean and refurb the servo neatly, was going to just splash s...

Re: Reflective sun shade

here's one- difficult to explain how you fold then- in half first, then twist the two sprung wire supports and it goes to a circle about 1/3 the size. AA one is silvery.

Re: Reflective sun shade

Have you tried those pop up ones with wire frames around fabric- you fold them up into a circle 3 times smaller- or am I remembering a South African product? For ears I had a manky corrugated cardboard sunshade- worked well, actually.

Removing brake servo??

Hi, I was going to remove the servo (2.0 Laser getting much better brakes) to clean and paint it, but I can't get the sodding thing out- I wonder if the inner wing was done at some stage and now there is simply no clearance to get the servo off the brackets- they are rivetted or similar to the body ...

Re: atlas oil leak- front oil seal?

Brilliant, really appreciate the help! Funny I couldn't find much on web, so I will do the gasket first then see if it still leaks, then get a diff expert to do the seal if required- I will tackle most things but soemtimes the price and high specificity of the tools required or the sheer time saving...

atlas oil leak- front oil seal?

Hi, I have searched high and low and can find no mention of how to replace the FRONT oil seal on the Atlas- in other words the one sealing the flange that the prop shaft bolt to. I have cleaned the diff properly today with degreaser and a power washer (great day for getting wet and truly filthy!) an...

Re: Wanted side repeater bulb holder and wire attached if po

Brilliant thanks- I will fit them as they might avoid an accident if people know which way I am intending to go. My Laser is a C reg so just about when they started fitting them- think my previous owner may have changed wings and scrapped the repeaters?

Re: Wanted side repeater bulb holder and wire attached if po

Slight dredge and thread hijack..... anyone know whether Lasers had side repeaters? I am keeping my Laser as original as possible on the outside- I do know that CCI do a set of (pattern??) side repeaters that I will get if they are correct. Also - any help on exactly where they go (measurements etc ...

Re: wanted: short shift/quick shift for type 9

Yup, I have one which I bought new a year or so ago- off eBay. £15 (plus postage if you can't collect) because it rattles like a bastard- would be fine in a track day or race car, but I removed it after the first trip. You may be able to fix this but I couldn't work out away. I shortened the throw o...
