They were silver but I've refurbed mine and sprayed it with truck bed paint (black)....it looks great and is hard wearing.

This is actually a very rare prototype based on the Tyrrell P34 Formula one car back in the 70's

The handbrake has a secondary rubber gaiter underneath the grey vinyl one.......maybe you're getting it confused?

Bin off the blue plastic defusers and halogen bulbs and bang in some green leds......... I also lined the inside of the casing with reflective aluminium tape. The look great now......... Oh, just make sure you get the leds in the right way around and the only downside is that you cannot use your dim...

There are many cars that don't suit being rag topped...
The Capri is such a beautiful shape and it's swooping roof line is part of its apeal plus the bonnet is too long, so it throws the proportions out.
It's almost as ugly as a Tickford...

This sort of thing is nothing new..... it's been going on for decades. As a lad in the 80s, we all used to leave the Doncaster Custom Show slightly earlier on the Sunday in order for the show cars to put on a show on the road outside Doncaster race course.
