Metering head kit
Hi just wondering if anybody has stripped the fuel metering head and fitted the kit from eBay and had any success ?? I've bought a kit and plan to strip down refurbish it. Any tips of knowledge would be much appreciated

Warm up regulator !! sits at the front of the 2.8 acts like a choke for fuel injection. Now this has me thinking ?? How did you hit wire the wur ? Having a nightmare with mine and I have been blaming the my metering unit. I have a spare wur that I bought 2nd hand but car wouldn't start with it on. Do you think my mixture could be out hence it not starting with it changed over ?

Hi just to let everyone no I put it all back together today and it started up no probs. Still got a issue but that's for another day. Tappets some amazing no knocking what so ever. Once again thank for for all the useful advice

Hi I was adjusting exhaust valves to 40mm exhaust and 35mm inlet. I did it according to manual rocking 1 adjust 5 rocking 2 adjust 6 but when I tried to get the rotor arm to point to cylinder 1 I started messing about with things I shouldn't i.e the dizzy and now I'm just going to adjust it all up p...

Owe well that would explain why it was pointing to bulkhead lol I thought it was supposed to point to number 1 cylinder. Awe well back to it it tomorrow get it built back up. I have changed leads spark plugs coil dura spark box distributor cap rotar arm.

Ye I have had it round a good few times 1 full turn on camshaft pulley points the rotar arm to the bulkhead and another 360 points it to cylinder no 4. I'm probably missing something simple but the car was running good but only for 200 mile then it developed a terrible miss once it has been running ...

Hi guys I have a capri2.8 and today I tackled the job of exhaust valves and done this without to much hassle however when I line up the timming mark to 0 my rotor arm points to cylinder 4 and not 1. Ok so the pully with both belts attached ?? Socket onto the middle of it and turn clockwise ? That should be easier than taking fan off.

This was the advert from 1 I had been looking at and you get primer paint and clear coat all with the same technology. Don't no if they will do my colour as it's still to cold up here in Scotland for painting outdoors !!

Ye that's it is !! They are special cans and u twist the a key in the bottom and it realises the hardner into the paint can and you shake can for 2 min and your ready to go. They only last day or so before they go off once you have mixed them
