Re: Thanks Andrew ! Profile avatar sorted finally

Hi Nick,
I'm pleased I could help. Now you've got a great looking avatar that shows off your new wheels and low stance. 8-)

Your car looks superb, as ever, but what's with the striped lines on your photos?

Re: White front indicators on eBay

Hi Jason,
I don't have them, as you know. However, I have looked at photos on the net, and it would appear that there are two little tabs that hold the repeater assembly tight to the wing. When pressed in they will allow the repeater to be pulled out.

Great find!
It seems well priced for a sign that size.

Re: expansion tank

Ahh...thanks Andrew. I will look into this mate and see how I get on. Hi Nick, I've just had a quick look in paint and found that the easiest way (providing you are using Windows) is to select your photo to edit and open it up in Paint. Crop off the bits of the photo you don't need (preferably maki...

Re: White front indicators on eBay

Good idea to change them to clear so that they match the front indicators on your car. Those square ones help to maintain an original (ish) look too. Obviously, don't forget to change the bulbs too.
I'd be amazed if the ones Andy found don't fit the Capri.

it keeps saying my selected pic is too bleeding big...something about pixels ????????? Hi Nick, It's easy enough to reduce the size of your selected photo by using Microsoft Paint, or a similar programme. Your car, as ever is looking great. I'm sure that everybody will think it is "ace" n...

Re: Interesting.....

Very nice RS3100!
It's only right that it's been restored in it's original colour, but if I could buy an RS, a white one wouldn't be my first choice.

Re: Nice eBay 2.8i

It's nice to see and hear Dr. B on video, to put a face to the website.
I see that our very own Jason has commented on the video, but I like Lewis72's comment the best:
"Capris weren't even that good when they were new, so the value of them now is quite startling." :)

Hi Paul,
A new one will only set you back £200 or so.

Great find, Nick!
On it's own your old tank looks perfectly fine. Although when placed next to it, the one you've just bought looks like it is brand new. 8-)

Re: Oldest Surviving Capri?

Hi and welcome to the forum! :welcome:
As Jason says, it's a pity that the car won't be ready for the 50th anniversary celebrations. As it's likely to be the oldest Capri at any show, it is bound to attract a lot of attention.
Do you have any more recent photos of your car?

Re: Dash Protectors

Thanks for the heads up, Andy.
Personally, I'm not keen on the leather covers because they are a permanent fixture and they deviate from the original look.
The dash covers look just the ticket to use on the days where the car is parked in the sun.

Christ 4* never thought I would see that again . Also how much is that a litre, think I payed £1.41 Saturday for super unleaded . I hope Paul can answer this one as I'd like to know too. To give you an idea, When I saw it in early 2014, it was £2.40 a litre when regular unleaded was selling for aro...

Re: Millers Oil VSPe Batch Date or Expiry Date ?

I'm also lucky that there is a garage about 4 miles from me that sells 4 star, albeit at quite a price per litre. There used to be a list of stations that sell 4 star on the FBHVC website, but it's been blank for a while now. I assumed that the Government had outlawed the sale of it, so it is nice ...

Re: Millers Oil VSPe Batch Date or Expiry Date ?

Sorry for resurrecting an old thread, but Nick's question has got me thinking. Does anybody think that Millers VSPe could degrade over time, even if the bottle is not opened? Just curious as I've bought a big job lot that will probably last me until the end of next year, if not a little longer. Than...
