Berkeley Castle Show 2018

A few weeks ago I went to a great show held in the grounds of Berkeley Castle in Gloucestershire. There was a decent turn out of old Fords, and here are my highlights. Where better to start than with the Capri contingent? https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1729/27589183817_686d68323f_k.jpg Ford Capri 3....

Re: No matter how carefull and protective of ur car !

Hi Mel,
Sorry to hear about the damage to your car. Yes, the woman has admitted blame and paid up, but it would have been better if she'd been more careful in the first place.

Re: New WD40 aerosols

In case anybody didn't know, the new style combined cap/straw is removable from the aerosol. You only need to buy one, when it runs out you can transfer the cap to a new ,regular aerosol WD40. Although I went with Paul's excellent advice and got the 5L with spray bottle. That will be enough to last ...

Hi Nick, How come you didn't take many photos this year? Seriously though, thanks for sharing so many amazing photos. As you wrote, it does look like a brilliant show full of gorgeous classics. Car of the show is the lacquer red Capri that looks superb with those new 15" wheels! I recogni...

Re: Bucket & Spade run, Ramsgate 2018

Hi Peter, Thanks for sharing your brilliant photos. It's lucky that you spotted the convoy of classics, otherwise you may have missed what looks like an amazing show. What a glorious selection of Fords in attendance, particularly the Escorts. The white 2.8 looks to be in very good order. My favourit...

Re: The Ace Cafe Capri Day 2018

It's great that everybody so far has got a space in the main car park. Although I'm surprised as the registration process opened 3 weeks ago and there's only 40ish spaces available. I would have thought all the spaces would have been snapped up long ago.

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Just watching the Mazda episode, and what's parked outside the workshop? Only the Alfa that was scrapped in a previous episode! They must film several episodes simultaneously, just like Car SOS. Interestingly, there was also a yellow Mercedes Sprinter parked outside the workshop too. I didn't notic...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Metro next week, which I think is the last episode...... Yes, episode 10 of 10. Despite the criticisms I've made of the show, I'll be sad to see this show go. Hopefully it will be back for a second series. In the meantime, there's always repeats of Wheeler Dealers and Classic Car Rescue on Quest. A...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

I have read on t'interweb that some of the production crew involved in the early WD episodes are also behind flipping bangers, hence the similarity between the two shows. The claim that Paul Brackley works on the cars behind the scenes is further evidence that Gus and Will are not running a proper b...

Hi Jason, The FM transmitters are excellent if you are staying in one area. You will be able to tune it in to a frequency that isn't used by an FM radio station in that area. However, on a long journey you will find that you constantly have to keep searching for an unused frequency to avoid interfere...

I bought a packet of 10 from a main dealer selling them on Ebay. It worked out at less than £6.50 each, delivered. At that price it would have been rude to refuse. :)

The BBC news seem to think that it could fetch up to £40K! A potential buyer could use that money to pay a deposit on an RS1600i instead......
