Re: First drive of 2019 !

Hi Nick, B112 looks as stunning as ever. I'm not surprised that you attracted a lot of attention, yours is one of the best kept Capris in the country. It sounds as though you had a great drive today, even if it has been a bit cold. Well, it has here. I can't wait for the winter lay up to end so I ca...

Re: Hello 2019 !

Most Fiat 128s have aged much better than what I had in mind in my first post...….  :sorry: I learnt how to drive in a X reg Peugeot 504 My friend's Dad had an estate 505. They had, unusually for the time, 3 rows of seats and seated 7/8 people. It was a massive beast of a thing! :D An...

They had a bit of a marathon on CLTV. It's OK to watch if there is nothing else on, but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it. Anybody with a particular interest in the Aussie car scene will love the show!

The 50th year of the Capri :woot: Is it the only "classic" that's 50 this year? :D  It's going to be a great year and I look forward to catching up with forum members at the various events throughout the year, but most likely at the CCI Nationals and Brooklands. Andrew.

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

It's not a new series, but I've just stumbled upon another car programme on an obscure satellite channel. It's called "Classic Restos" and, surprisingly (!), it's about old cars. It's on CLTV, channel 161 on Freesat. I'm not sure if it's on Freeview, but I'm sure somebody will be able to t...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Caught a glimpse and from what I saw, he wanted to get the interior right....did he ditch the correct strobe interior for the S,and fit the red Ghia interior, or vice versa? There's a couple of older photos of this car on Flickr, showing it with a bright red Ghia interior and a mark 2 front grille....

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Yep saw the trailer today and saw the seats and dials. Wonder whether they will do a decent job of it, yet to see one on a car show yet that looks good. I managed to catch the trailer for the first time today. Maybe it was a slightly different version, as I saw the dials and seats, but also there a...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

It looks as though we are in for a great New Year of car programmes on TV, as I've just seen a trailer for a series of Wheeler Dealers that starts on Discovery on Monday January 7th. By the way, there's a new series of the world's worst car programme - Yianni Supercar Customiser, starting on Dave in...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Thanks Andrew, will have to watch it  No problem. According to Wiki, the Capri episode is the 10th, so should be broadcast on 11th March by my calculation. Spoiler alert/ forewarning. The second episode is apparently an extremely emotional affair as, tragically, the person concerned passes ...

Series 6 of Car SOS will be broadcast on the Quest channel, starting on Monday 7th January at 9PM. This is the series first broadcast earlier in the year on the National Geographic channel.
The last episode is the one with the blue RS3100 replica.

I do use a small ball of blue tac when repairing clocks works really well and stops me from dropping the screw .... James May uses an excellent gripping screwdriver. He demonstrates it in one of the reassembler episodes. I really want one! https://uk.rs-online.com/web/p/screwdrivers/0547969/ Andrew.

Re: Temp gauge not working 2.8 injection

So this is wrong for the 2.8i? https://www.burtonpower.com/water-temperature-sender-oe-gauge-ford-capri-v6-2-8-81-87-xtt45.html As Martin says, yes it is wrong. Does your car even have a female spade connector on the sender wire? It would have been a female bullet connector when new. You can either...
