Re: Blue plastic lenses in dashboard pod removal

Thanks for replying mate, I tried searching for the 3 watt coloured bulbs but couldn't find them, would you be able to point me in the right direction please, Hi Wayne, I searched for a long time for 3W bulbs in green, nobody seemed to make them. Then, out of the blue, I came across these on Ebay: ...

Re: Blue plastic lenses in dashboard pod removal

Had my dash apart today because of the poor illumination at night, as expected the blue plastic cover's disintegrated with the slightest touch, probably a silly question but would it be possible to 'wrap' the existing bulbs with something like filtered stage light paper which is very cheap and has ...

Re: Project Carla 820

I agreed with the others, it looks like a terrific car with only a few small areas that need attention.
It's great to see you cracking on with what needs doing, I look forward to more updates as the work progresses.

Re: Nice eBay 2.8i

Yes I saw the Tickford ad a few days ago. Nice wet bodywork pictures :? Sorry if the seller is on here, but when will people learn? I reckon that most Ebay bidders don't view the car beforehand, therefore, you have to rely on a really good set of photos. Three more or less identical exterior photos...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Did anyone else watch WD RS 2000 rally car? Hi Andy, Yes, I watched it this morning. I'm sure I've seen that episode before though. I get the feeling that the only reason they prepared the car for rallying was just so they could film the Edd vs Mike rally scenes and add a bit of drama for the progr...

Re: Nice eBay 2.8i

I don't see this as a £21495 car because of what it is/isn't :? https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1005821 MOT History showing 15970 (115970) miles and only covering 575 miles since 2006 (all passes). Going to be around a while I think.... Still around or on the market again? https://www.ebay.co....

The mark 2 GL is back again. Re: Project: Metal Polishing

So here’s the update to the jet washer that has been hanging on the fence with clear coat on ! The verdict. No it’s gone really blemish and dark ? I did use panel wipe before using the clear coat and did spray 3 coats on , but it’s pants . So how the clear coat does not work has me baffled. https:/...

Sadly 40 years on they are still out there :( Aren't they just! Re: Capri In Magazine

Sam had seen the car & I didn’t think anything of it, I’m under no illusion, mine isn’t a feature worthy car, but it would have looked ok in a group for a cover shot. That was unlucky Rob! That sounds amazing, I dare say you were kicking yourself, who would turn down a free lunch…….. Alth...
