Re: A bit of T Cut and some elbow grease and she'll be right

Hi Mike,
Good spot! 8-)
Doesn't the seller know that it's Ebay? He should spray on the tyre black and claim it's an immaculate show car!

Seriously though, it looks like it will disintegrate as soon as you try to move it.

Re: A few questions

Where do you buy this from fella. Just tried ebay but no good. Hi Nick, The link provided by Steve is the only place I could find it for sale. I must confess, I get it supplied in a little service pack when I get my Toyota serviced. It is good stuff though, highly recommended if you can source some...

Re: A few questions

I agree, WD is great for loosening things up, but I find the same. I do have a tin of 3in1 spray stuff which *seems* to be a bit better, but you can`t beat proper grease & oil! Hi, Where light lubrication is required, such as the throttle linkage, I use Scott's Pitstop Ol (Yes, that's spelt correct...

And I couldn't be prised away from my spectrum  Hi, Spectrum is good, and there are some good emulators available so you can play all the classic games online. A year or so ago a bought a Coleco off Ebay, and I'm trying to find an Intellivision for a decent price. Now, they're real games conso...

Re: Berkeley Classic Car Show

Mate I not surprised your 2.8 injection got lots of attention. It would stand out in the best of company but it still must have felt good receiving the plaudits it deserves. Well done. :) Nick, Thanks for your kind words. Yes, the positive comments about my car did feel good, if I'm honest! You get...

Re: What's the geekiest thing you've ever looked up on ebay?

That's the equivalent of rolling a one on a D20... a fumble. There is nothing in the known world that's as disastrous as rolling a one on a D20. Whatever the consequences of that are! :) In answer to your original question, I have been known to purchase the odd packet of 70's and 80's Top Trumps. D...

Re: Restoring my brooklands - will it ever end.....

Hi, Thanks for posting pics of your resto, there's some excellent work going on there. The car looks quite respectable in that second photograph, but it's amazing what you can find wrong once you start looking......... :) Still, the car is going to be a stunner when it's completed and that will make...

Hi Marco,
Yes, it sold for only £4000. However I spoke to somebody who went to the auction to bid on this very car, and he told me that it was a complete wreck and needed a total restoration.
Shame, looks decent in the photo.

Peers.Dupp has a thread to a pair on this page of the forum Hi , Yes, I have a used pair of single leafs for sale. Decent looking condition but untried, so I don't know how old they are or how they sit. One thing is for sure, they will be a LOT cheaper than the £180 tickover charge for a pair. Than...

Re: Berkeley Classic Car Show

Hi John, Thanks for your comments. I suppose the show wasn't too bad for a small local show. A lot of it was typical classic car show stuff, MGB, MG midget, Triumph TR5 and TR6, you know the sort of cars! There were a few gems here and there, just enough to make the trip worthwhile. I spent most of ...
