That is a stunning example of an early 2.8, simply gorgeous! I can't see a single fault.

I'm going to stick my head above the parapet again and say the Scorpios actually kind of grew on me too! Mike, There was me thinking that you are a man of impeccable taste! I wish I'd just gone and got another Zafira  I just can't forgive the Zafira for that ridiculous handbrake. Also, the d...

but what amazes me is that this (and other abominations) were years in the design, prototyping, tooling and testing stages - and no one stepped in and said WTF? You see, these days cars are designed by teams of designers, each with their own specialised design areas. No doubt there are endles...

Mike, Fantastic photos, thanks for uploading them. There are certainly enough stunning Capris in your club to make my mouth water! I love the orange x pack, the Tickford, paulda's Mk2 S, the graphite 2.8, and the...........etc etc. I'd better stop there as I'm salivating over my keyboard! It sounds ...

certainly illustrates your comment about the interior being a nice place to be! Definitely the best place to be! Only Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles bought a Scorpio for it's exterior aesthetics. Although the Scorpio is a beauty compared to the SsangYong Rodius. This car gets my vote for the w...

Re: the ford designer needs sacking

Ford have a knack of doing this sort of thing though, I remember when they brought out the Sierra in the 80's to replace the Cortina, look at the difference between those two! Most thought they were crazy at the time, loads laughed at it but it soon became an icon. Mike, I agree with that statement...

Hi,
Yes, it sounds as though you should be OK with that. I just thought I would mention it, just in case.
Good luck with the repair.

Re: Scratch repair "pens".

Hi, I would stick to a standard paint-touch up if I was you. As you've already bought the Crystal green aerosol, just spray some of that in the lid and apply with a small brush. If the scratch is light and paint is not needed, you will be able to polish it out with some meguiars ultimate compound, o...

Nige, I can highly recommend the Mivue 338 for quality and ease of use. Everything you need is supplied except a micro SD card for recording images. It costs £70 from Amazon. It also has a built-in battery that enables the unit to be used as a stills camera, if needed. http://www.amazon.co.uk/MIO-Mi...

Hi,
The chap on this thread makes and supplies hand-made panels. Maybe worth a try if Martin can't supply any and you don't fancy selling a kidney to pay for the Ex-pressed ones.

Re: Crystal green finish

Hi, I've ordered paint from this supplier and can confirm the colour match is good. Bear in mind, however, that you'll never achieve a perfect match with fresh paint from an aerosol onto thirty year old faded paint. Whether it's noticeable or not depends on which part of the car you are spraying. If...
