Re: does your capri seem slow?

Hi, I can't believe I'm reading this! :o Older cars make the driver feel like they're doing 100MPH when they're only going 50. Compared to modern vehicles the Capri has a lot more vibration and harshness, more feel through the steering, less sound insulation and much more noise from the exhaust. All...

Re: Capri Front Rally Lights

Hi, It's easy enough to wire a set of lights to come on with main beam. You just need the lights, cable, a fuse, a 4 pin relay and a switch (optional). If you want four extra lights you will have to use two relays and fuses. Wiring diagrams can be found on the internet easily enough. The difficult p...

Hi,
This sounds like an interesting project, what mondeo engine are you planning on using?
It has to be the 2.5 or 3.0 duratec! :)

Hi Sam,
The size should be a straight swap although you will need a PCD of 4x108 for Ford fitment.

There`s a thread about it here: (I assume it`s OK to link to the dark side?) http://www.capripower.co.uk/forum/index.php?/topic/32105-car-wrapping/page__st__40 My understanding is that it does only last for a couple of years though? (Also, just thought - you may not be able to access page if you`re...

I know of a ford anglia that only has delivery miles on it from new. Still has the plastic covers on the seats ... Hi, Is that privately owned or in a museum? I don't know how somebody can buy a car from new to store as a future investment. I just don't have the willpower! :) In that situation it p...

Few quid for various grades or abrasive paper and a few tins of spray. Tidy up the iffy bits, spray & dry then re-smooth any visible marks. Couple of top coats and away you go.

Hi,
There are some informative tutorials on youtube if you're not sure how to do it.

Re: 4 spoke alloy recondition

Hi Sam,
Sorry I can't be of any more help, other than suggesting that in my opinion the black inserts on the 4 spokes always looks better than silver all over. :)
I'm sure someone will have some photos of gloss finish wheels.

Andrew.

Re: 4 spoke alloy recondition

Hi Sam,
My thoughts are that if the sprayer is just going to paint the wheels and not refurbish them properly, you may as well do it yourself and save £100. £25 per wheel sounds too cheap to be a proper job.
Just my opinion!
All the best,
Andrew.
