Re: oil level

Nick, Did you buy the Millers or the Halfords oil? Its brilliant how simple an oil and filter change is on my pinto. no jacking or ramps. I can just about reach down to the sump nut from above ! How many cars can you say that about nowadays... I lie on the floor and undo the sump plug from there. No...

Re: Introduction of my Capri from Los Angeles!

Hi,
Welcome. I agree with Peter, you have a nice example of a MK1 there. What could be better than cruising up the Pacific Highway in a Capri? Sounds fantastic!
All the best,
Andrew.

Re: Stunning 1982 2.8i Capri

Dave,
The title says it all - stunning. If only I had the money and the space..........
Obviously you have your reasons for selling, but it must be heartbreaking to see it go.
Good luck with the sale, and I hope the new owner continues to cherish the car as it deserves.

Re: Been done speeding

John, That's cheered us all up! I guess the speed awareness course is not the 'get out of jail free' card that we were hoping it was. The websites you have linked to make interesting reading, and it looks like the insurance companies will do everything they can to get an increased premium off their ...

Re: I hate selling cars

I thought 'ricer' referred to Type R's etc? Hi, My new-found understanding is that the expression refers to cars that have bodywork, wheels and maybe exhaust modifications, but no engine mods, so they are no faster than the standard variant of the car. Originally the term was applied to oriental im...

retroman81 wrote:why does selling a car attract timewasters and idiots?

Hi,
Probably why so many people are prepared to lose a lot of money trading their car in as part-exchange, or selling to the car-buying people. A lot less hassle.

Nice car for the year, by the way. Good luck with the sale.
