i have had this problem a few times ,usually summer. Once when i had a new dash mat, just couldnt clean no matter how hard tried. i removed the dash mat and problem went away. The other time was from vinyl paint i used on the dash pad. Anything new in the car?

Paul Most of what i require in parts is available here it's just a matter of knowing what size is needed so if im unable to get that info up front i will just have to pull apart and measure, not the way i wanted to do it. hello all
mk3 capris are new to me as they were not available here in australia. I have a 1981 2.8, did they come standard or optioned with a LSD or 5 speed

gday Paul the car is in pretty good nic, a small rust spot near the a post one atop the headlight pot and a fairly decent chunk in the tailgate all easy enough to fix. first up it needs the rear spring bushes replaced and the thermostat housings aswell, that should make it a nice drivable car for awhile till i get some time to strip it down for a repaint. It would be great to pull it right down and restore but not sure about that yet.
