Rocker cover for a 2lt Laser
As my Capri currently has a K&N air filter and a sierra rocker cover, would this be the right rocker cover if I wanted to put it back to an original appearance. Only bit I'm not sure about is the bracket on the top https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Ford-Pinto-2-0-Rocker-Cover/173656290114?hash=item286e...

Re: 2.0 Air filter box complete
I did have a look on eBay for rocker covers, loads on there but only one with the 2 side air filer bracket mounts. It looked a bit scruffy for the money but then again, I've been used to buying them fo a lot less when I've bought them in the past. Is Colin his username? Don't know to many people on ...

Re: 2.0 Air filter box complete
Yours may have been the one I was watching.. £85 ? Must admit I was tempted but couldn't really afford it. That's the problem with owning a Capri now, even some of the parts are going up in value as well as the cars. I'm also realising these square air boxes are becoming rare

Re: 2.0 Air filter box complete
When I bought my Capri, I was quiet happy with the minor mods it had. However, I've always been someone who likes his cars to be the way they were built. So, after a year of owning it I seem to be, slowly, trying to put it back to original appearance (other than it was a 1.6). Just got some very nic...

Re: Wanted Original Laser wheels
Blimming typical. The wheels have just arrived and I have 1 laser wheel and 3 other 4 spoke wheels. The others have slightly thicker spokes and 11073 and 113xx6Jx19 on the spokes and H75AB1007-FA stamped on the rear :crying:  Now found out there Mk2 Escort RS2000 wheels with Capri Ghia centre c...

Re: Old car dealer stickers
I've just used this company for my dealer sticker. They will also do dealer plates. Haven't arrived yet so not sure on the quality but, since they were recommended by someone of the Facebook groups I've tried them. Very helpful but a little slow https://www.pukardesigns.com/

Re: Mk3 stripped!
Would you have a square air filter box with the mounting brackets and the rocker cover all from a 2lt ?

2.0 Air filter box complete
Now I've sorted an original set of Laser wheels, next on my list is to see how much or easy it would be to replace the K&N air filter and put an original air box back on. So, I'll need a complete square air filter box with mounting brackets. I'll also need a nice black 2.0 rocker cover as my Cap...

Re: Wanted Original Laser wheels
I've managed to buy a set, the one I posted on page 1, the guy had all 4 and he has posted them for an extra £24 which is great. Will need refurbishing as I want them original silver and, I expect, will need new tyres. Just got to get the centre caps now...

Re: Wanted Original Laser wheels
Yes, look nice but they are quiet some way from me in Newcastle so to far. I'm looking at a set in Southsea for £120 but they look like they need tyres and also need refurbishing as have grey/black centres and no black centre caps... Sort of defeats the object as didn't want to pay extra for refurbi...

Re: Wanted Original Laser wheels
Still haven't got any yet, missed out on the listed wheels in Worchester, forgot when they ended and missed. Only other wheels out there at moment seem to be expensive or not a full set. No rush but would like some before the damp weather sets in. Will also need a full set of wheel nuts too..

Wanted Original Laser wheels
Hi,
I'm toying with the idea of buying a set of 4 original laser wheels for my 86 Laser to fit during the winter months. Would, ideally, like a nice set with reasonable tyres if possible. I'm near Reading so local ish
Cheers, David

Re: 1986 Laser radio wiring diagram
Thanks for that, not sure the relay is still there then but I had to refit the dash etc... yesterday so have another look this weekend. Other than the white wire that should go to the middle small bladed terminal on the radio, what are the other wire colours ? As for the ciggy lighter, yes, the doub...

1986 Laser radio wiring diagram
Hi, I've just tried to fit a replacement electric aerial into my 1986 Laser. Unfortunately, for me, someone has been in there before and has removed some of the original wiring. I don't have a multi plug for the ciggy lighter, that's completely missing and on the radio I have the big earth, a yellow...

Re: New member with a 1986 2.0 Laser
Thanks for the welcome messages, yes very happy with it. Used to have a Capri back in the 80's when I was a teenager. Sold it because it was a bit rusty ( a 1980 V reg 1.6GL in Tuscan Beige) and always said I'd have another but never did. Just sold a Mk3 Cortina GXL as I'd hoped to buy a 3.0 Ghia or...

New member with a 1986 2.0 Laser
I thought my 1st post on this forum would be a hello and here's my "new" 1986 2.0 Laser. I bought this from a chap in Portsmouth who bought it in 2014 form an eBay trader. The car was originally from Crewe but was bought by a chap in Ireland around 2001. He was a member of the Northern Ire...
