Pbar yes would love his details as it’s only the side stripe and laser badge I need , also yes I use transparency paper for large clocks but never new they did the soak in water type so may have a look . Re: Wheels Help

Wheel diameter doesn't matter. What matters is what tyres you put on, and the width and offset you use. E.g. with the same width and offset, and an appropriate tyre, it will have almost identical proportions : http://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=205&aspect=60&diameter=13&wheelwidt...

Re: 18” wheels on a mk3 Capri with xpack

Yes 18" wheels are possible, clearance issues will depend on wheel width, offset and how low you want to go. I run 18's although I still think they look a bit too big on a Capri, for me it's a case of needs must as anything smaller won't fit over the 360mm discs and 6-pots, plus there's an end...

280. Same as standard except for worse wheels, horrible paint colour, naff decals and a boring interior.

Re: help for a modeller

Guess what you have hit the nail on the head as I have bought some transparency printer paper and thought i would try my self and there on that listing is a picture of the stripes and laser I can copy and paste on to the computer ... I don’t know why they don’t do laser 1/18 stickers as I have foun...

Have you seen this already?: http://www.capriwiki.com/index.php?titl ... rd_BOA/BOB

I don't think it directly answers your question, but might be useful nonetheless!

Re: Hi can anyone help with information on a V8 Capri conversion

Thanks for the info and the pics mctool. Interesting idea with the rad. Which rad are you using? I'd love to see pics of it in situ if it's done already! Hi Mate, Don't bother putting a boring, under powered Rover in it - lot of grief for not much more power than a V6, speaking from experience try a...

Re: Indicators gone fookin nuts

I've just checked the part number on a Capri one here and it is different to the ones quoted. I don't think it will work but I may be wrong. I do know that early MK2 and MK3 are wired differently, they will plug in but don't work. Hmm, if i ever take the dash apart enough to test it i'll report bac...

Re: Indicators gone fookin nuts

I've seen on ebay that there's people selling new aftermarket ones. I bought one as a backup but haven't tried it yet. I looks close-ish, but maybe a little *cheap* looking :( Check the part number on your switch matches with the one you buy as there were 2 types. These both look the same and the pl...

Re: Hi can anyone help with information on a V8 Capri conversion

I have made the engine and g/box mounts , the sump and pick up , the exhausts , the clutch lever . I have an ally bell housing and a toyo 5 speed box. . I have had the engine and box in and fitted , so far everything bolts up without modifying crapi in any way , the exhausts kept me busy for a whil...

Oh you've already had it done? Just thought I'd point it out in case you weren't aware and were planning to DIY it. I had a go at doing mine, but it's a very close fit on the back with it all in situ.

Really I'd have to say No! There's a nice Camaro as the star but not much else. The girl who drives it is worth looking at but the whole thing together is a pretty much a lot of nonsense. Re: Laser seats to recaro

Pretty sure I used the same bolts, yes. Yep, you're right, there isn't a lot to check actually! They could be from a different car or something that someone had fitted capri recaros to in the past, causing them to be mistaken for capri fitting ones?

Re: Laser seats to recaro

Have you got the frames that fit between the seat base and the runners? I have them. You need the frames to bolt the runners to. I do yes, I bought them from you yonks ago! I thought that they just bolted to the bottom of the seats and onto the standard laser runners, but the holes don't seem...
