Re: Bike Carbs expelling fuel from breather

Thanks. It was only for a moment before I shut it off, wonderedif I just pumped too much in the float bowls or something? Maybe it'd have sorted itself if I'd left it running, but didn't want petrol everywhere ( more than already)

Bike Carbs expelling fuel from breather

Got her started up, but fuel gushing quite freely from the breather, I think, circled in red below: https://photos.app.goo.gl/SRERwZwFk7YKPMfb8 Instinct was that I'd not set the fuel pressure regulator, but it was set to 2, same as I had it before with no issues. Could be perhaps I just pushed exces...

Re: fuel pump

Have you tried "priming" the system, ie take the hose off at the carb and suck the fuel through? I have had this problem with mine when they've not been run for a long while and sometimes starting the engine with a drop of petrol down the inlet is the only way to get them going. The other...

fuel pump

Hi all, long time no see! Finally had some time to tinker with my Capri. Ignition stuff hopefully all sorted, but not getting any fuel flow. Disconnected the hose from tank to pump at the pump end, and there's fuel at that point. Cranking the engine there's no feel of any pressure at the pump with t...

Re: I was wondering....

Tbf, that citroen van pulled out so slowly, for a sec i was worried that the driver had passed out or something. I'd have overtaken too, would be dangerous to be stuck too close to someone like that. I'd not have given the finger though

Water leak

I thought I'd cured this, but sat in the back the other day when it was pouring with rain out, and I could see a dribble from near the boot hinge mounting point passenger side. Is that likely to be a sunroof drain pipe issue? Any easy way to fix?

Re: Battery Isolator

I've hadthe key type isolator fitted for years now, the battery still seems to drain though. Min eis probably a lot less occasional than others on here with how long it's taking me to sort it out though!!. I've also used a solar panel like in the lats pic in the past, it didn't seem to do much in th...

Re: What?

Today's selection of articles covering the various ways brexit is fucking us over. I haven't sought these out, just this many have popped up in my news feed. I note that there are none espousing the benefits we're supposedly reaping from it: Handing more power to Westminster reaults in erosion of hu...

Re: What?

Sure, it might work out to be not too bad in the end, but imo the cost was always too high. The fundamental freedoms given by EU membership (movement of people, goods etc) were invaluable, and no matter how good things turn out, it can't compensate for those in my opinion. Yes, the message put out b...

So Peter's trying to show that leave voters can have intelligent opinions on the subject, and you're just going to totally undermine him, lol.

Well mine was a statement, yours was countering. Usually the person countering would add something to, well counter. You just did the equivalent of the schoolyard "No u". It's ok though, I've not met one person who can coherently explain why they thought Leave was a good idea, so didn't r...
