Re: Steering column top bearing needed??....

looks like it may be due to removing the indicator cancelling cam, thats 2 people now that have told me it pushes on the top of the clip and stops the bearing moving about...

will simply make up a bit of alloy tubing to act like the cam...hope that stops it moving about..

Re: 4 speed or 5 speed gearbox

Did the same with my 2.8 when i changed the engine to a 24v cosworth.... the gear change is SOOOO much better than a type 9, especially if you get a milton quickshift for it... it has a proper oil drain plug, so oil changes are a doddle... the ratios are better to, very nippy, but if you use it a lo...

Re: 24v Cossie hunting and dies at idle

if the idle speed control vavle is not connected it will cause lots of problems... i have an emerald ecu now that controls the original valve... i also have a wide band oxygen sensor in the exhaust the idle speed control valve has 100 settings, from 0% (fully closed) to 100% (fully open) you can man...

Re: 24v Cossie hunting and dies at idle

the 2 wire connection you mwntioned near the thermostat housing sounds like the water tempreture sensor?.. if this is not connected it could cause the problems you mentioned... thats the only wire i think that could be, or it could be the Idle speed control valve connection?.. can you take a picture...

Re: Injection fuel line arrangement

i have got a picture from my old 2.8 setup with all the lines labelled... all 6 lines to the injectors dont matter which way they connect, but they do kinda fall into place... then theres the input from the fuel pump and the return to the tank, and then the line to the warm up regulator and the cold...

Re: Not firing on no 5...24vcossie problem...any thoughts??

Problem fixed!!! Turned out to be a trapped fuel hose... tried loads of stuff at the weekend, but then the fuel pump started to whine, and the fuel pressure dropped to zero on the regulator....engine still ran, then blew the fuel pump fuse... disconnected it to test the pumps flow, only to find it w...
