Any good spray shop can colour match the colour you need, one tip is if the fuel flap is the colour you want, it can be removed & scanned by a good paint supplier ;)

Re: How do we make an all electric capri

I personally can't see it happening, as already said there isn't and won't be the infrastructure to support it, think of all those nuclear power stations that will need to be built to keep up with demand. I read a report saying petrol will be cheap as company's producing it will lose market if all ...

Re: New bangers for cash on tv

I really enjoy this program, the enthusiasm of the family & such broad knowledge of all vehicles without BS plastic presenters makes it a very enjoyable watch. With my nerd hat on, I had to smile at the seller, "its british racing green" Buyer, "there's a bit of wear on the drivers seat bolster", wh...

Re: Prices

Use this insurance valuation tool to give you an idea https://www.hagertyinsurance.co.uk/classiccarvalue As you say, sellers will ask for whatever they can get, buyers will pay what its worth to them, Insurance companies will offer what they feel the market dictates, put the details of the cars in t...

Re: Future Classics

Just to add a little more to the youth appreciation, our 20 year old engineering trainee bought a road worthy 1992 classic Mini about September time last year.

Needless to say he has been picking the brains of many of us older gits who had them as first cars back in the day ;)

Re: Fan Belt size

Do a search for Gates Fan belts Here's a couple of links, just double check the details before you dive in, generally its the width & length that covers what you need. https://www.burtonpower.com/alternator-belt-ford-sohc-pinto-rs2000-capri-granada-mk1-6263mc.html https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/Belts/1803...

Re: Interesting.....

I like this, I remember trying to get my dad to change our Vauxhall Viva for one back in the day, but isn't it Big money for a limited edition, I may be wrong but I thought the Harrier wasn't a performance model, just decals & fancier trim ? Then again, Escort prices are bonkers …. be interesting to...

Re: Spraying interior plastics "Ghia Brown"

I'll e-mail you the pics shortly. Have to say if Martin has any or all of the items in stock, will be much the best way to go, get them off him while you can. You can always paint any bits you cant get hold of in Brown, you will have far less to paint / dye for anything he doesn't have, the tins of ...

Re: Spraying interior plastics "Ghia Brown"

My Blue 81 Ghia has the brown plastics. I got a new parcel shelf from CCI & I'm pretty sure it was the vinyl dye I used. When I get home tonight, I'll check as I'm sure I have a tin of it left, £10 a can but it did work well. IIRC I put 3 thin coats on & it covered very well. When we did the resto o...

Re: New Capri Book

Sounds like a good event, I went to the Dunton one, didn’t realise there was this one as well. I saw CCI email saying there was an additional book called Capri 50 but when I visited the site, I couldn’t buy it separately, you had to get the car you always promised yourself with it.. Are you looking...

Re: *Wanted*Tailgate wiper motor plastic trim cover

@ lord flashheart, I bought the book & loop and fitted the trim cover. Absolutely fantastic, thank you!! Recommend to anyone looking to buy the replacement from Capri club, it’s so authentic you don’t notice the difference. My original almost disintegrated it was a mess! Glad you got it all sorted,...
