starter motor
Starter motor didn't want to turn over, think it was a jammy solenoid, so I bought a new one. Problem is, this new one bolts on so that the solenoid is below the motor, and I'm not sure if its meshing properly and don't want to try it incase is eats the flywheel. Is there any way of knowing if its c...

Re: Brown half material seats with headrests
Hi, preferably a laser but tbh, any that'd fit a laser would be good. Also, I'm now looking for a set of back seats as well thanks to a mouse attack, again, as long as they fit a laser and aren't ripped to shreds I'm probably gonna be interested.
Cheers, Joe.

Brown half material seats with headrests
Hi everyone, on the hunt for a pair of front brown seats, the type with material down the middle and the headrests. Don't mind if they're not 100%

Re: Wiper motor screeeech
as in, the magnets are only held onto the outside black case by their own pull, nothing holding them still in the slightest. When I took it to pieces they came out on the armature by their own magnetic pull. Didn't think it was right... tbf, when the armature is in the case with the magnets right up...

Re: Wiper motor screeeech
actually inside the motor? Yep, definitely rubbing. Don't really get how they cant as there's nothing holding the magnets away from the armature? doesn't seem to be enough space anyway...

Wiper motor screeeech
Hi everyone, I've been having trouble with getting my wiper motor to work since I bought my capri (screeching, jamming and no sign of a park function), so I've finally took it out and had a look inside. There seems to be wear between the armature and the magnets, which my guess is what the problem i...

wiper motor assembly removal
Following the steps in the Haines manual and got to the remove motor and linkage from car but can't seem to get the thing to budge. Tried trapping, wiggling, pulling and rattling from every angle I can get my hand on it and can't seem to get the thing to move and inch. Am I missing something obvious...

Re: Disaster after disaster
Cheers Paul, I'd already put grease on the latch out of simple new car upkeep steps, but would never have thought about checking the rubbers, will have to to that this morning. With killing the alarm, problem with that is a previous owner has put in a mess of his own loom and would take an age to fi...

Grilling my grill
Hi guys,
Since I'm working through problems on my Capri, I was wondering if I could get a Mk 2 grill to replace my mangled stock mk3 grill... I've seen people do it and kind of like the look of it but just wondering about the logistics of it. Does it just screw right on?
Cheers, Joe

Re: Disaster after disaster
Cheers man. I'm slowly working through all of them. I just guess because I can't drive her yet I'm getting antsy about the whole deal... I have been using the knowledge in the forum a whole bunch, like being able to take the grill off to get the to latch easily to release the bonnet. Turns out the c...

Okay, I'm new to this group and I have hardly any experience with Capri's I'll admit, but I swear my new and beautiful mk3 just dislikes me. When I got her, all that was wrong with her was wiring, imbalanced carb, and a sticking wiper motor. But so far, in try to take out the dash I've found a horre...

1600 idle issues
Hi all, new member to the forum and new owner to a Capri 1600 L. Absolutely loving her but she just doesn't like to sit and idle. As long as she's above 1k revs she's happy as a duck in a bakery  , but below that she can't make up her mind were to suit in the range and eventually splutters and ...
