Essex V6 big header tank radiator
Hi everyone
Just a quickie,
Does anyone know the reason Ford stopped using the 'big header tank' radiator on the Essex V6 car's? Badly designed?
Just curious

My car still doesn't have any interior in her yet cos of the water leak...

Re: Door seals
Thanks so much for your prompt replies, I will drill a few small holes in the seals where you both suggested. Since I had all the work done on my car, I haven't put any carpet or interior back in yet. All I have in there is the drivers seat and seat belt - I'm trying to make sure she is water tight ...

Door seals
Hi everyone,
Quick question, I have fitted new door seals on the Capri, they seem to be good quality and fit very well, however now I have to literally slam the doors hard to get them to shut properly, any thoughts guys?
Thanks
Wayne

Is the car manual or automatic transmission?
Re: respray
Financially, no, it`s never going to be `worth it`, but money isn`t everything: nobody who has any fondness for these cars willl have anything but admiration for what you`ve done! It`s a fantastic job, the car will now go off into the future and bring pleasure to people, generations, to come. Alway...
Re: respray
Nice one Mr B.. yours was worse than mine.. except for the lower rear quarters which looks about the same.. it's that foam they stuck in there I think. Looks great now 8-) The guy who did my car confirmed what you have said MT, it's that poxy foam trapping water in that area - the foam on mine has ...

Re: respray
All done...for now, you may or may not be thinking was it all worth it, considering Ford gave these cars a 6 to 7 year life expectancy her being even drivable 43 years later is a miracle.
Re: respray
Well, we're not just gonna quit on her
Re: respray
The N/S front footwell fell to pieces as well as some of the floor
Re: respray

Re: respray
And then came the N/S which we all thought was in much better condition than the O/S......WRONG lol
