SOLD

I have the under bonnet sound deadening and all the securing clips that was removed from my 280 at 12,000 miles. It has been stored flat, under my bed & wrapped in cling film ever since. It's not perfect but it is very good and hard to imagine that you find another one that is better either for ...

Re: Capri Mat Sets

I must admit I thought they would do £400 no problem. Hey ho, I can hardly complain given the bigger picture. That said, if I'd thought that would be what they went for I'd have put them in the car...I should have anyway really. I have got some other bits that I will be listing once I get a moment i...

Re: Capri Mat Sets

Hello again. Well, plenty of "watchers" but no takers and I'm not the type of guy to sit on something for months....So they will appear again this evening at 19:11 hrs under item number 253155133674. They have a 99p start, a Buy It Now £100 cheaper than my original listing and no reserve ....

Re: Capri Mat Sets

I knew this would raise some reaction, don't they always!?! I’d be lying if I said it doesn’t amuse me a little bit. It’s funny, the front mats raised much the same reaction when I bought those several years ago... People would bite my hand off for what I paid for them which was considered “ridiculo...

Re: Concours 280 "Brooklands" Capri

Thanks, I'm very pleased with that. it's also the new world record achieved for a MK3 too.

I will always miss it but I really enjoyed owning it for the last 8 1/2 years and it was time for me to move on.

Thanks for the positive comments.

Concours 280 "Brooklands" Capri

Owned by me for 8 & 1/2 years, the write up and even the link to over 300 pictures cannot do justice to the level of obsession lavished upon this car. It's not been an easy decision and I never thought I would ever sell it to be honest, but it is time to move on and let someone else enjoy it. ht...

Re: Good Winter Storage Practices

Oh, I'm starting to feel guilty for having posted this now. :cigar: Just remember, you've never had a problem previously, just with any set-up, improvements can always be made. Just a question if they are worth it to you and are justifiable. Temperature is not a surprise as with drafts, an open pitc...

I'm viewing on my phone currently but that looks the best Capri bargain I've seen for ages. Lovely.

Re: Good Winter Storage Practices

Keeps any little furry animals out  Read that somewhere too....Makes sense??? Stainless Janspeed Exhausts are the only ones for V6 Capri's IMO. Will consider the heating depending on my newly installed temp gauge readings :D Andy Furry animals! I guess that makes sense though I think I'd prefe...

Re: Good Winter Storage Practices

Possibly right :?: Basically there is a gap approx 1/8" down one side of the door.....It's an apex roof too so quite a high garage. Pretty sure a heater as mentioned above would be ok though for the winter months?? I would think with the open, pitched roof (plus the gaps to a lesser extent) yo...

Re: Good Winter Storage Practices

Hi, I'm led to believe that if the garage isn't heated, good air circulation is vital to reduce condensation. Those air gaps could be helping to preserve your Fiesta! :D Andrew. Yes, that is my understanding too but it's not idea to have big gaps and try and heat the garage for obvious reason. You ...

Re: Good Winter Storage Practices

I hope some of this of use to you. Hi, It certainly is! What an interesting and informative read, thank you for taking the time to write this. You have raised some points that I haven't considered before, and although I haven't encountered any winter storage issues, I will definitely look in...

Good Winter Storage Practices

I touched on winter storage in another thread and pbar asked me to elaborate. Rather than just expand that one point I have put together the following which you can either use or point and laugh at. :) The following is just how I over winter my car and bikes based upon my own research and experience...

Re: Official Cosworth Capri

I recognise that car! I must admit I've not posted in a long time either....the V8mk2 is still in fine fettle, while I'm still putting together the RS! Stu is not impressed! .....and funnily enough, I've been and bought a triumph! Hi Vernon, Still putting together the RS! I must admit, from what I'...

Re: Official Cosworth Capri

Thanks for the mud flap tips, great advice. If you are able to give any further insight into the storage aspect you mention above, I'm sure many of us would find it very interesting. Sure, I'm back in my working cycle now so you might have to give me a couple of days. Should be quite timely thinkin...

Re: Official Cosworth Capri

Hi mate, I also wondered where you had dissappeared to. Car looks great. You don't reckon that guy was talking about the RS3100 do you? They were limited to 250 and Cosworth did do some engines I think to 24v. I am sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong. That’s a really good call. I’ve been fol...

Re: Official Cosworth Capri

Truly stunning. Be scared to take it anywhere though! I used to be like that a few years ago but i’m pretty chilled out about it now. It gets driven in a “spirited fashion” and the underside stays cleaner than you might imagine. I’ve only ever cleaned the underside once and that was because I got c...
