Fuel Gauge reading empty

Any ideas,, My fuel gauge stopped working and constantly reads empty. I checked the wiring at the sensor and when I short the two wires, the gauge reads full - so I know the wiring is OK. I suspected the sensor but its reading 85 ohms that I thought may be ok.. when adding 5l of fuel the sensor read...

2.8 Injection Problems

Our Cherry Capri has problems with the fuel injection system where is runs for a short while then totally dies. The injection pipes are all moving as if under stress in the short time that it does run. The car has been laid up in a garage since the 90's and it has needed coaxing back to life. Our lo...

Brooklands Classic Breakfast - Memorial Capri Tribute

To fellow Capri owners.. Over the past two years our family has been restoring a Mk3 2.8i Capri that was owned by our late brother Cliff. It was his dream to see his car running again and on show in the Paddock at Brooklands, all changed when he tragically died of a brain hemorrhage at just 47. At C...

Re: Capri Shows for 2017

My thanks for all your replies - we are willing to travel around the country to show off Cliff's 'Cherry' Capri to fulfill Cliff's dreams of displaying his beloved car. I should have added that Cherry was shortlisted to be restored by Car SOS twice but then rejected after Cliff's death. Fuzz Townsen...

Capri Shows for 2017

We are nearing the end of an 18 month restoration of a Capri 2.8i in memory of our late brother Cliff Isherwood who died in 2015 at the young age of 47. Our aim is to take Cliff's 'Cherry' red Capri to the shows that he had dreamed of taking his beloved car if he had the chance to restore the Capri....
