Early mk3’s have the same plates as late mk2’s, both assembled in Germany I think they may change around 81. I wasn't sure about that, I assume that the style of the VIN plate changed the same time that that the stamped chassis number moved to the driver's floorpan? The OP has posted a photo of an ...

The best ive seen so far for the glacier blue colour is rather deep dish rs 4 spokes or deepdish 4 spoke revolutions in gloss black, however im gutted they dont do them in 14x7

There is only one thing stopping me from starting up the engine now before welding and that is fuel tank straps.. could anyone lead me to a supplier please, not bothered if they are not stainless, they just have to be rust free (new)!!!! Fully degreased, media blasted with fine grade media, painted with 2k etch primer and 2k top coat gloss black. will add stone chip paint went on the car, its a shame it will cover the shine. took me 7 hours in total but the tank will live for many more years!! :ford: http://i66.tinypic.com/2gsr3wy.j...

Thanks mate, yeh i love them in white but being a rare colour im keeping the glacia blue, as it was standard.
