Re: Annual camping weekend - 30 June , 1 & 2 July

I can confirm I will be there, not sure whether Friday night or Saturday morning. Also not sure in what, maybe new toy or in van for sleeping purposes.

Re: Belated Unseasonal Motor Meet (Eastern Region)
Great to see everyone again, discussion topics were brilliant, learnt loads as usual but not quite "sold" on Tesla yet, more work to be done by their number one salesman.
Already looking forward to next July and also a possible "Up North" weekend.

Simple solution...remove the choke flaps completely. You CAN do without them.

Re: Newbeeeee .....engine size change 1.6 to2.0
Even on the track I didn't need to upgrade the 8" drums on the Rat. Make sure the whole braking system is in tip top condition, get the best pads and discs for the front and you'll have plenty of braking for a road car.

Simples....pinto everyday and twice on tuesdays. Much more potential and much simpler to understand. Every major job on the cologne is hassle.

Re: new record for destroying a cam?
Going back to the original topic, if the cam isn't lubed properly and/or the oil system primed before start up of an engine rebuild, the time taken to destroy a cam is measured in minutes rather than years. It's been done (not by me) so that would be the record.

Just looked on ECP, those 2 pictures appear to be for dimensions only, I don't think they are necessarily the exact part you get.
