Well the pictures aren't great Nick but to me look a little like Eric Idle and Michael Palin so I'm going with a Monty Python sketch.

Great thankyou!
White man speak with forked tongue!

I forgot Olly, the kit comes with a new diaphragm for the bottom of the unit. I used a general gasket sealant on that as it appeared that the original was probably sealed .

I have tried to put up pictures of the car but is says attachment too large. Any tips for posting pictures?
You can reduce the picture size first if you have some software to do it - there's free stuff out there, or see here

Do you need any special sealants Peter?
I bought one recently and intend to do the job over the winter. The German seller has yet to write any instructions.
No sealants on this one Olly

Re: M16 brake calipers

I've split M16 and Princess calipers without problem. The surfaces need to be clean, the bolts really tight (I hold them in a vice to do it) and use new O rings. Should be OK then.

Re: Using Metal Weld On Diff Cover?

if a 10mm socket is a bit loose, do you have any imperial ones, (3/8" is about 9.5mm) that may be a tighter fit? I'll have a look tomorrow. I picked up a few before trying the 10mm that looked close and they seemed too big, fingers crossed theres something in an old tool box. Make sure you use a so...

Re: Fuel issue

Presumably you have a 38dgas? I run one on my 2.0 and until I bought a new carb I found the old was prone to the fuel vanishing from the system if left for even only a few days. Never could figure out why unfortunately.

Re: Stuck Inner TCA Bolt/ Balljoint Nut

I believe the correct way is as you have it. Yes, the manuals seem quite insistant about that - but I`ve never understood why? The arm moves up as much as it moves down so it can`t be there`s more torque in one direction. it just doesn`t make sense, certainly I`ve always done as you suggest & repla...

Re: Stuck Inner TCA Bolt/ Balljoint Nut

I don't think you can get that bolt out without moving the rack. The ultimate solution is to put the bolt in from the other side although I believe the correct way is as you have it. The other one as Steve suggests or try applying heat, cool it with some penetrating fluid and put some mole grips on ...

Hi, Does anyone here know the supplier of the pressure regulator? I'm having problems with hot start, changing almost everything, before starting on the injectors. Or have experience with this for advice? Thanks! You mean the warm up regulator? You can get rebuild kits, fairly straight forward job ...

Re: 3.0 Brake Disc advice.

I'm with Steve. The discs look pretty crappy to me. I'd bin them and start again. I would also go with fresh pads because if they've been grinding up against those discs they are probably pretty ropey as well. It would be a shame if they damaged the new discs.

Southern meet up?

It gets mentioned time to time and goes no further so does anyone want to get together for a cuppa and a gossip before Capris start getting parked up for 6 months?
I would suggest last weekend of this month. Can be Saturday or Sunday. If there is any interest we can agree where.

Re: Confusion over wiring for starter motor

Just for arguments sake, if you were really desperate and, post apocalypse say, it was the only starter motor in the world, you could simply put a 10A Schottky diode in the wire to the coil and then join them? Would cost you about 50p. Simples! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/283186713698?hash=item41ef3...
