Recaro refurb

In common with many Shark greys the upper bolster on the driver's seat of my 2.8 has been gradually getting more ratty and had worn through in a couple of places https://i.postimg.cc/NFJgjDKV/DSC-0148.jpg As I have a spare passenger seat I decided to use it to make a repair. Initially I was only goi...

No rush!

A mere 9 months after the events today I finally got around to putting up the Dunton and Brooklands pictures from last year to keep company with the 40th and 45th anniversary pictures from Brooklands :D

They'll have to pipe it into people's houses. Line clearing will be a bit of a pain though. Haha still less painful than pouring it down the drain! Some water authorities were actually making a fuss about it, such was the volume being poured away.... I can’t make the first weekend in September, lat...

with that Pillock in charge (or bullying/forcing) motoring. Wasn't it the pillocks on the other side that proposed banning internal combustion vehicles within a decade and offering big interest free loans to promote electric car sales. You'll be hard pushed to find leaders anywhere anymore that wil...

Re: Rear side glass opener

Can anyone tell me how to remove the rear openers from the glass? The opposite side to the image has very badly corroded and I would like to swap it out but i cannot see how to remove it from the glass. It unscrews Ian. You need to prise the cap off the outside as I recall and there is a screw unde...

Re: Recaro seat runners

Has anybody ever experienced loose seat runners on recaro seats ? Any body repaired them , there seems excessive play in the runners but are bolted firmly to the car thanks Yes I've had this. The runner part that's bolted the floor opens out over the years allowing the seat to rock sideways. I took...

Re: CRaP 2020 July 3/4/5

Just to confirm what I'm sure everybody knows already, this event will not be happening next month as originally planned. I have been in touch with Steve at the Crosskeys and, like all other pubs, it is closed at present. I have suggested that we might look to the first weekend in September as an al...

Mk1 in Dover yesterday

Didn't get a good look as this was in front of my Aunt and I was following her. For some reason she stopped at a junction and we lost it! Anyway, an orange Mk1 and I think it ended 552J, anyone know it? Around 1.30 pm.

I wouldn't trust an individual officer to know all the rules. Both these links seem pretty certain you can go to the test station, if pre booked https://www.telegraph.co.uk/motoring/caradvice/honestjohn/7905195/Can-I-drive-to-the-MoT-station.html https://www.driving.co.uk/car-clinic/car-clinic-a-cam...

With a type 9 I would guess an Escort although I don't think it would have been the original box - but don't quote me! Also MKI Capri or early Cortina are possibilities
