Re: Alternative Fuel Sender Units
I dont ever recall anyone complaining about the accuracy of the mk2 granada fuel sender unit . I think the real issue is wether you can fit it to the mk3 capri or not. Sorry, I meant that I wasn't sure if it was accurate info haha. The units visually look quite similar and seem a fair bit cheaper!

Alternative Fuel Sender Units
Hi all, Does anybody know of a compatible fuel sender for the Mk3 Capri? I've seen a few second hand units sell for silly money on ebay and I resent overpaying for something which for most other cars, can be purchased considerably cheaper brand new! I read somewhere that an mk2 granada unit may fit ...

Re: Wanted full lock set and rear quarter windows
Just as a heads up, full lock sets can be pretty pricey and also now pretty rare unfortuantely... I've recently purchased separate door locks and am changing over the tumblers inside the locks of the doors and the ignition barrel so they all work off one key (Previously there was a key that did the...

Wanted full lock set and rear quarter windows
As in title, I'm looking for the ignition switch/barrel, door locks (older type built into handle) and the boot/glove box lock if possible with key.
Also looking for a set of rear quarter windows.
Many thanks.

Re: Pinto engine change recomdations?
I know it's not on your list and ruins originality but the st170 is a good option in terms of cost to power ratio! However, I've got a 1.6 pinto in mine and intend to convert to a 2.0 pinto to at least retain the originality a bit. I'm going for the transit 202 block with low compression pistons as ...

Re: Lead content in original paint
Are you asking what type of paint you should buy to use for your repairs? Just trying to clarify in the hope of seeing some answers :) Sorry, I should have been clearer haha. I was asking because I wanted to know how safe it is doing my own body prep for a respray (obviously using standard safety g...

Lead content in original paint
Hey guys,
Is there much lead content in the paint used in 70's/80's Capris as mine is in need of sanding down in a few areas where it has started to blister, and I'd like to attempt the repairs myself.
Cheers, Shane

Difference between MK2 & Mercury Capri grill
It may seem like a silly question but what are the key differences? Are the indicators just standard MK2 units secured to the grill or were they specific to the US spec Capri? Also, the 'Capri' lettering looks like it's a removable badge where as the MK2 'Ford' lettering looks fixed in place? I'm lo...

Goblin Works Capri
Has anybody seen the episode where they transplant a 5.0 Coyote engine from a mustang into a 2.8 Capri? The American makes reference to the Capri as a granny car and is critical of the 2.8 only making approx 160hp. I love American muscle cars but having driven a Challenger and a Mustang, can safely ...

Custom front valance
As in title, has anybody modified an original valance or fabricated a newly designed one? The front Valance is the one design aspect of the Capri I'm not a fan of! It just seems to have unecessary design features which are all rust magnets as compared to the MK1 for example. In case you've not guess...
