Re: Need help removing the rear seat latches
It's both sides. Hitch of a job to get out. I was 'Lucky' as I was cutting the inner part of that rear panel out under the car which made getting the foam out easier.

Also, get a large bottle regulator and get a hobbled bottle. Works out a lot cheaper than the disposable ones.

Re: Broken gearbox...? help please!

Tin worm
Well after weeks of working backwards on the off side rebuilding inner wings, headlight bowls, struts etc. lifted the carpet out so oi could tackle the front foot wells and the sides only to find my floor is no longer attached to the sills. Oh bugger more work. but at least once done i would hope it...

Re: this could be the new capri in years to come
I quite like it for a modern take on the old. Would like it to retain the twin head lights of the old. and obviously the rear wheel drive. ok it might not be a legend in the making but time is the only thing that can tell on that one.

Re: Siezed front brakes
WD has been sprayed will get done tonight as well. Can't grind lip off the disc as I can't turn the sod. Changing the calipers to Volvo 4pots (as per spannerfodder) so new discs and pads are sat here waiting to go on. Was thinking of just unbolting the caliper and knocking it off as not too bothered...

Siezed front brakes
Not attempted it yet, but what is the best way to get the front calipers off when they are siezed on solid. they are that tight that I am assuming I am going to have problems pulling them off past the little rim caused by wear on the disc. No doubt will have to destroy the pads. which I'm not bother...

I modified Audi 80 wing mirrors to fit mine similar shape to the original drivers mirror and you can see out of the passenger side one as well. Bonus.

Re: Rear Brakes
Got the drums off. possibly not the ridge on the edge of the drum, there are 2 grooves running round the drum and the shoes have adopted this shape, so I assume the ridges created on the shoes were stuck in the grooves. the reason the shoes wouldn't slacken of was 2 fold, handbrake mechanism stuck, ...
