Re: FOR SALE: MK3 Front wings primed in black (pair) and a grey leather steering wheel
I've seen plenty on ebay and other places between £130 and £250 each
I've been told older pattern parts are a better fit than new ones (so ive been told anyway)
That being said I'd probably be happy with £200 for both to be honest

FOR SALE: MK3 Front wings primed in black (pair) and a grey leather steering wheel
I have a pair of MK3 Front wings. They're new and unused, they have the light surface rust ontop of the primer that you'd expect from being in the garage for years, clean otherwise. I bought them secondhand and was going to fit them to mine but managed to undent my wings whilst they are still on the...

Re: Engine cut out whilst driving...
thanks for the useful ideas, turns out it was the thick (neg) lead on batt (potentially the terminal conversion wasnt as tight as needed either) had no power at all when turning the key this morn then a little wiggle of this wire with the key in the ignition and everything came back to life, thus so...

Hey guys, laser 2.0 here. So I'm waiting at a busy junction go to pull away and the revs dropped, stalled and literally everything died, no turn over, no clicks, no electrics, no nothing. Rolled to side of road and after couple mins everything sprang back to life... So my question is what are we thi...

Re: Trouble starting when hot.

[quote="Mc Tool"]What sort of carb ? Im thinking that the float level may be to high . Specially if its a 32/36 dgav as the black plastic floats can soak up fuel and not float properly . I nearly went mad till this penny dropped :D[/quo i believe its a standard carb. it has a r5617 tag on ...

:? Still no luck, can't see any issue with the wiring... Am I right in thinking this fuse feeds the following: Ignition switch Horn column switch Rear loom/tailgate/boot lamp Interior lamp Clock Cig lighter/radio memory Hazards switch Washer bottle pump. Am I missing something else I haven't checked...

Re: Short circuit/grounding. Fuse blows when connecting battery
Thanks guys, I didn't do any wiring for the fusebox, just disconnected the old fusebox and put the new one in. I tried the old one again and the same happens so it's not an issue with the fusebox itself. And the terminal bridges are the same as the old one, guess il have to give all the wiring the o...

Short circuit/grounding. Fuse blows when connecting battery
Hi everyone, just joined in the hope of getting a bit of help with a problem with my '85 2.0 laser. Just fitted a new fuse box but now everytime I try to connect the neg batt terminal it sparks and blows the main 16a fuse. I've checked boot light and rear lights etc can't find any dodgy wires. Bit s...
