Re: Capri 2.8 special project for sale
Also bodywork is in good nick. Had a bare metal restoration 10 years ago or so with photos.
No visible bodywork rust, some small paint bubbles. Sunroof needs adjusting too.

Capri 2.8 special project for sale
With a heavy heart I am selling my Capri 2.8 special. Due to recent divorce and lack of funds my motivation to complete has subsided. Plan was to fit a 2.8 EFI engine with a T3T4 hybrid turbo front mounted along the lines of a Tickford. Ive fabricated exhaust headers for this. It's 1985 B reg No eng...

2.8 Capri
After a 2 year hiatus driven by divorce, mental health, house move and making it habitable, I've finally been able to prioritise time on the Capri. Gearbox strip and rebuild: My car was originally built as a 5 speed, but a previous owner put a 4 speeder into it. Unfortunately most of the oil exited ...

Re: Capri 2.8 struts
Thanks for your reply, I'll give that some thought too.
Originality isn't prime concern with this car as it's drifted away from that with previous owners

Capri 2.8 struts
Hi folks. My 2.8 front struts were modified to use the Capri sport fitment of a Mondeo caliper. I want to remove this but since the caliper mount was drilled out to fit the bracket, I guess I need to replace the lower part of the strut. Since Bilstein struts are not exactly easily available I guess ...

Re: 2.8 efi question
Bottom end is virtually identical. Water pump and timing cover are slightly different and the crank pulley is like the 2.9's. Big difference is the inlet manifold and plenum. It's a half way house to the 2.9 V6. It's EFI rather than MFI.

Re: 2.8 efi question
Yeah. That and I took a risk assessment view of the conversion work I did and felt it was a fire hazzard which is when I happened across a really inexpensive 2.8 efi engine on eBay because the owner didn't advertise it as an efi

Re: 2.8 efi question
Hehe. It was a learning experience. I've had a trigger wheel welded to the front of the crank. I'm also turbo charging it.

Re: 2.8 efi question
Hey @stroker. I started with speeduino and went the full DIY assembly route. After blowing up 2 Megas and 2 boards, I've swapped to Megasquirt.

2.8 efi question
Hi folks. I've been rebuilding a 2.8 efi engine. I noticed that where the radiator top hose comes off the engine, the spout looks like it could be removable. Indeed there are 3 bolts that someone previously has tried to remove and have been snapped off. It's not budged for me so I was wondering whet...

Re: Turbo technics spec
@Not_Anumber The link Andrew 2.8 put at the top gives a good list of the parts needed. Ultimately the 4 most difficult items imo will be the manifold, cross over pipe, vacuum cartirldge and enrichment block. I managed to find a really cheap Efi 2.8 so I've moved away from mfi. I also managed to find...

Thanks for that. This. That is a lot of boost you're running. I appreciate you sharing your specs.
I'm only going as high as 12psi probably. Cheers.

Turbo technics spec
Hi folks. Does anyone know the turbo spec used on the TT single kit (2.8)? I would like to know the turbine A/R and Compressor A/R. I did email TT but didn't get a reply....... All I seem to get able to find is that it was a T3..... Alternatively, if anyone has fitted a T3T4 hybrid, what A/R worked ...
