Re: Leaf spring front bolt
Sam, As has been suggested an angle grinder is your best bet. 1mm discs are ideal if you can get your hands one some. I changed mine a few weeks back and one was stuck solid and the other came out easy. A smear of anti seize compound will work wonders for any future removals. Hopefully once installe...

It was a 'budget set' made up with odd colors. They are all the same hardness. Saved me £20

Rear ARB bush orientation
I have taken off my rear anti roll bar to paint and fit polybushes and there is one side of the bush that protrudes out of the 'eye' on the end of the threaded bar more than the other... Can someone confirm which way the bush goes? Thanks in advance

Thank you for the reply, I had previously messaged this bloke and unfortunately he doesn't have a drivers side otherwise that would of been ideal. Hopefully I can find something similar.

Spring hanger repair
Hi there, Does anyone know of somewhere i can get my hands on a repair section for my drivers front spring hanger. The chassis rail needs repairing and the box section of the spring hanger. I have found them online but at a cost of £850 for the spring hanger and a 'member leg'. Just wondering if any...

Re: BMW headlight conversion: The "definitive" tutorial.
Great tutorial. Very informative. I thought about performing this modification myself but wasn't too sure how to amend the standard headlight mounts. Thankyou for taking the time to put this together for others, I'm sure it will be a great help. Looks great fitted by the way!

Re: Track control arm bush issue
Thanks for the replies gents. I am changing both sides with new anyway. (Seems daft not to whilst they are off). The problem is the new sets didn't come with the metal inner of the bush where the anti roll bar fits in. How much for two metal sleeves posted Martin?

Track control arm bush issue
Hi all, I am currently changing my track control arms on my Capri and the metal bushes that sit within the track control arm are corroded. Is it possible to buy the metal bushes on their own from anywhere? The bush in question can be seen here. http://i751.photobucket.com/albums/xx153/Sean__Taylor/M...

Re: My 1986 1.6 Laser
Well overdue an update... As I'm sure many of you on here have experienced, things can take longer than initially planned. Especially when renovating my first house along side the car  Considering how busy I have been I have still managed to do little bits on the Capri. Just a few pictures of ...

Re: Inner wing panel
Apologies for any confusion, It wasn't the crossmember I needed to remove as I described in my original post. It was just the anti-roll bar. Anyway... Thanks for the help all the same, greatly appeciated. Anti-roll bar now removed and ready to replace the rot with fresh metal :) http://i751.photobuc...

Re: Inner wing panel
Thanks for the reply, I don't require an inner wing.
It's the small panel that the bolts for the anti roll bar thread through on the inner wing.
Just need a replacement for that part.

Inner wing panel
Hi, Just wondering if anyone can assist. I have been sorting out the front end of the Capri and would like a bit of advice. The plate/panel that the crossmember bolts through in the inner wing needs replacing after a previous owners dodgy repair. Can these panels be bought off the shelf? Also is the...

Re: capri for arounnd a grand
You will do extremely well to get your hands on any Capri for that price now. There are some great buys out there, but as stated above you will have to dig deep and have a good search around for one. Good luck with the search though.

Re: 2.0 Laser, Rolling project (ish)
Sounds like things haven't exactly gone to plan. Does the welder you purchased not have the option to use gas with it? Quite a few of them can be used with gas or without depending on the wire you use in it. I have got my hands on a decent clarke welder and its produces a far superior weld with gas....
