Re: How would we manage....

We had some snow this morning and the people in the village are still driving past with snow covered on there cars and no lights on . What are they like ............. Just saw the news and certain parts of Wales, Midlands and London areas are quite bad today. Can't believe the state of the M25 :sho...

Re: How would we manage....

I saw a learner under instruction driving without lights the other week  Unforgivable really. :agree: I think the current driving test is far too easy. When I passed in 1984, reversing around a corner, 3 point turn, hill start, emergency stop, and parallel parking which all had to be completed...

Re: Some Security Advice For You

Perhaps they should have plugged the microwave in and given it 2 mins on defrost which might have then put some sense in the bell end's brain!

What a :wank:

Some nice pictures John. I love that little Fiat 850 coupe, often wondered about getting one. My Godmother had one when I was a kid and I've always liked them. Not sure about the Minilights on it though, should really have Cromadoras!

Re: Mk1 1.6 master cyclinder and servo - lots of questions

Hi guys, my master and brake servo have seen better days. it's leaky at the seal, between the master and the servo, and more importantly there is no bite when I press the pedal when I stop at a light. it sinks into the floor slowly and I have to lift my feet up quickly and press it again to avoid h...

Re: £30K 3.0S

30K one not 100% on some of the details & what happened to the weather strips on the underside of the doors ? I've never seen an S or any other model than a Ghia with weatherstrips on the inside bottom of the door, even my 2 year old one that I had back in 1980 didn't. I've always fel...

Re: Some Security Advice For You

Congats Andrew on the 10,000 milestone, I've only got another 9273 odd to do! Re security, I remember when I was a kid in the sixties my mum had a Mini countryman (the proper mini estate with the wood trim!) and she used to go into High Wycombe high street, park outside Macfisheries (anyone remember...

Re: £30K 3.0S

Is it really worth £17.5 K more than this one, even if the stripe is on straight? https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/W-REG-FORD-CAPRI-3-0S-4-SPEED-MANUAL/272965247275?hash=item3f8dff212b:g:7MQAAOSw-olaIqZi Buy this £12.5K one and have nearly enough cash left for one of the sub £20K Brookies on the bay. Puts...

At least the US version stayed in the US, unlike what they did to the MG's at the time when we all had to suffer those horrid rubber bumpers.

Re: Worst Capri

That hideous thing created by Leepu and Bernie on Chop Shop for Laurence Dallaglio must take the biscuit, closely followed by the Tickford. Some of the pick up and van conversions don't float my boat, especially that 6 wheel thing that was mentioned on the forum a couple of weeks ago. As you said th...

Re: Capri Part

It's a rear infill panel that was an accessory that people used to fit between the rear lights to fill in where the number plate usually sits. It should have a mounting kit with it in the box but your first picture isn't very clear. Most of these panels just said "Capri" on them but as you...

Re: Boot wont shut

My laser tailgate sits proud of the rear wings by a couple of mm. It too is a pig to close. Going to wait until a mate of mine is around and then elongate the bolt holes a bit to get it to line up; can't see any other way of correcting it as all hinges and bolt holes are as far forward as they will ...

Re: What a load off.....

Correct. If you look carefully, on the top row is Francis Ellingworth's (Laser on here) white Laser and his wife's cobalt blue 2.0S below it. These were two of the cars on this year's club stand at the NEC.

Re: Project "Scorpio"

Looks like a good project and the Capri looks great. I agree with what Andrew said about using the 2.8i power steering rack - possibly some 2.0(V6) and 2.3(V6) models in Europe were also fitted with power steering. If your Scorpio engine is a fuel injected you will also have to fit a 2.8i fuel tank ...

They were being made by a member called "Big J" or Joe as his real name is. He goes by Big J on CP as well.

Re: Door speakers

Hi Notanumber, I've only ordered the speakers today so don't yet know. I think 4" speakers should easily screw into the bracket under the shelf in the same way as the OE ones.

Will repost when I get them.
