Re: Wanted - MK3 windscreen

I would have thought in South London your first port of call would be Tickover in Dartford - tel 01322 839303. From their website they are closed this week and re-open on the 20th.

The lamps were fitted to two brackets which were fitted to the top shelf of the front panel.
Aren't the genuine brackets as rare as hen's teeth though?

Andrew.
They are I believe Andrew but knocking up a couple of angle brackets shouldn't be too complictated.

Re: Spotlamp wirering.

Re the positioning of them, back in the times of ancient history I fitted a pair of OE spotlights to my then owned MK2 2,0S. The lamps were fitted to two brackets which were fitted to the top shelf of the front panel. With the grille removed, there are two little dimples in the front panel shelf, im...

Its 4 miles each way so 8 mile round trip 5, 6 and sometimes 7 times a week depending on shift pattern. Last week I walked about 56 miles. I am the Forest Gump of wal...

Re: Interesting.....

I have owned two Escort Harriers over the years. I had a silver one in the late eighties which was absolutely immaculate and I think I paid £1750 for it . Really was a smashing car to drive and it was the 88 BHP 1600GT/Sport spec engine in it with a RS2000 style interior. It really went, handled wel...

Re: Spraying interior plastics "Ghia Brown"

I think Plasticote will mix to match a sample so you get the right colour. I've been following a chap on you-tube (Pete C) who is restoring a MK3 Cortina and they mixed it up for him.

Give me the Escort Cosworth any time over a modern domestic appliance. Better still, give me a Sierra Cosworth.

I wouldn't cut the front screen rubber if I were you as the rubbers for the later screen which your Laser will have are no longer available new.
Oh, I didn't know that Martin.

I don't think MOT testers check headlight aim as carefully as they should. I'm finding that as I get older I less like driving at night.

Re: Any thoughts on the new Ford Capri idea

I say leave the legend of the Capri in the annals of history. The same applies to the Sierra, Granada, Escort, Cortina, Consul, Zephyr and Zodiac and all the other legendary names.
