Re: Seat height for the larger man

Being 22 stone I fear that when I get my 3.0S on the road (about 2030 with my current speed of progress!) that for me sitting in the Recaros will feel akin to sitting on a toilet seat. Must lose weight by then!

Re: It's all in the detail

Blimy Nick, I didn't think you could improve on how it has always looked but that is a miracle.

I've got a large Sealey polishing mop and will have to get some of those fine polishing mop heads on mine.

Re: Ford Capri facia/dash panel and rear lights.

You probably need to look in Germany or some other Left hand drive country to get the dashboard.

I don't own a Mark 1 facelift car like yours but as far as I am aware the rear lights are very hard to get.

Re: FORD CAPRI TICKFORD TURBO

It is a scam, just click the seller's other items and there's loads of them.

That car was advertised by it's correct owner two or three years ago and its one of the stock images that the scammers :wank: use.

Re: Car seat covers

I might be tempted with a pair of those grey ones. I remember having a set of real sheepskin ones back in the day that came to me fitted to an old Merc 230E. As the Merc's seats were OK under them, I removed them and used to swap them from car to car that I had. They were extremely comfortable.

Re: Car seat covers

Welcome to the forum Mrbaboon. With seat covers the world is your lobster, anything from ebay to Halfords. The problem with the Capri is getting 50/50 split rear seat covers, you may have to get them just as one piece like a rear bench seat. Good luck and hope you put some more posts up here about y...

She is coming along nicely, a new respray, many new parts, a new MOT with no advisories, what else do I need to do? ;)

I'm in love.

Use her, enjoy her, go to some shows when they start again, look after her doing whatever needs doing when it crops up.

Re: Drivers tail light & side light not working

Update! It turns out it was fuse no. 3 :banghead: Now I know what you're thinking and yes it was the first thing I checked, however it was broken in such a way that it wasn't obvious whilst it was in the holder, when I took it out to have a closer look I realised it was badly oxidised/ corroded and...

Re: cutting out problem (2.0 - 32/36 weber)

More worryingly, the correct fuel return pipe seems to have been plumbed via a t-piece into the choke -to- inlet manifold COOLANT hose. This could potentially be dangerous or cause engine damage. Get a new hose that goes from the choke down to the manifold, don't bugger about trying to plug it. If ...
