Re: Alcohol in fuel

The 3 main parties are a shower of :turd: so expect nothing different unless Reform or similar gets voted, and even then I wouldn't hold my breath as they all seem to change their story once they get in  I would never be surprised to see the tax and MOT exempt scheme scrapped (even if they lea...

Re: Waterless Wash & Wax Products

I was using a sticker gum remover the other day, a quite aggressive solvent, and it started taking off the matt paint that was on there since before I bought the car. So I kept rubbing and underneath was this lovely deep lustrous original rosso red. So well preserved you wouldn't believe. I'll take...

Nice find MT

My dad bought a Mk3 Sceptre (Hunter shape) in 1974 and kept it 6 years, that was the longest he had ever owned a car. Nice cars and I imagine the earlier Humbers were good too, nice bit of luxury and reasonable prices now if you can find a decent one.

Holy thread resurrection, Batman! :D My 5 litre bottle of Britemax Spray & Shine is finally getting to the end, but the Britemax stuff doesn't appear to be available any more. I am leaning towards Autoglym Rapid Detailer, but would be interested to hear of any of you guys have any other recomme...

Re: 1986 Laser on ebay

It looks like a nice car, although I'm surprised that the previous owners have kept the original invoice, but not all of the paperwork that would support the claims of a reasonably low mileage. Andrew. :agree: Andrew. A service book and receipts etc don't take up alot of room, but amazes me how man...

Re: Gas Monkey

I started watching this a few years ago but I soon went off it. Don't watch many American shows at all. I've watched most American and UK car programmes and they pretty much all follow the same format, sensible mechanics/fabricators and the dicks that think they are funny. So I watch odds and ends ...

Thanks for the positive comments! I've put some NOS bumper inserts on it since this event as one wasn't up to standard  The organiser told me about 125 cars didn't turn up on the day, and I know at least a handfull of those would probably have beaten mine, but they didn't come so i'll have ...

Re: 1985 Capri 2.8i Special

When my car spends more time in the garage than out, I've certainly thought 'what's the point' on more than one occasion, but when I drive it on a nice dry day that's why it stays with me :) I admire anyone that uses their classic on a daily/weekly basis in all weather and I know opinions differ, bu...

KGF = Strong money, but as always it will sell and set the bench mark for all future sale prices!

Sadly poor cars get overpriced too as the owner/seller thinks that they're something they're not

Re: My old car

Classic Cars are some what of a luxury and those of us that have one should appreciate how fortunate we are. High prices ruin everything right down to spare parts, and although it would be nice I would never take for granted the value would increase on the car I own, and those owners that do well go...
