Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

How To Build British, Saturday Channel 4 at 8pm. Cars most of us could never afford but interesting all the same. I watched the first of 5 episodes last night Bentley GT. From shell right through to completion. Next week Aston Martin https://www.radiotimes.com/tv-programme/e/k8zpzs/how-to-build--s1-...

Re: Chedder Gorge Meet

Due to the weather and last weekends experience I'm curious, what happened last weekend? The Cheddar Gorge thing sounds good, I hope you have a great time. Andrew. Typical June weather Andrew, windy and drizzle most of the morning  I grew up about 30 minutes from Chedder so went there quite al...

Re: Chedder Gorge Meet

Thanks Andy - just picked up the message here. Whilst the laser has now been taxed - I'll have to give Dartmoor a miss this weekend as the wife is on call all weekend (vet) and, tempting though it is, I think i'd be in a whole heap of trouble to leave the kids at home. Cheddar Gorge though - will t...

Re: E Scooter Rental

Andy, I agree, everyone on the road seems to have lost the `fear`, respect or whatever, it`s just ALL gone downhill. Yes everyone acts like theyre entitled, rather than having a mutual respect for each other. They get mad when they're in the wrong, rather than raising the Hand of Humility to their ...

Re: E Scooter Rental

The only downside to these is the very low centre of gravity which means you must hold the `handlebar` making it impossible to text, keep hands in pockets etc, whereas on a bike: No contest! Scary Steve  Drivers are bad enough! Twice in 3 days at the same roundabout a driver has pulled out wi...

I will try and get there - hoping my 1600 can keep up with all those V6's! Can meet you at Taunton Deane services 08.20 sharp or at Morrisons WSM 09.00. Just let me know a day or so before  We've been having drives to Dartmoor with a local Ford club, and planning one this coming Sunday ...

Re: Mk 3 Capri 5.0s

I would prefer a standard looking car with the V8 and appropriate mods.

I think the Goblin Works Capri gets so much abuse because of the way it looks rather than the 5.0 Coyote under the bonnet.

Superb, good one Andy, yes that looks very similar to mine actually. Except that instead of the plastic strip I have a thick bead of silicione sealant all the way along, both sides. Just the job that, and it will be there for as long as you want it to be, permanent solution. Always nice to fix thin...

The V8 Mustang is the only new car I would want to buy, but they are so big they hardly fit in any uk garage, so would have to block our already quite narrow driveway and who knows when the tax on that car will rocket :spank: Had 2 Focus ST and did consider a Mk2 RS but decided to get the Capri inst...

Yes I saw that Andrew. It was on a Capri Facebook page a day or so before that too. Deposit taken on this car.
