Have a look at the spark plugs , one may be cleaner than the others , this would indicate coolant getting into the combustion chamber ,but this doesnt always happen ( piston tops clean up too ......if you can see them )

I would be lookin at the reg . I think they are supposed to regulate instrument voltage to a bit over 5v. Dunno if you can still get them new but a 5v dc reg is not that hard to come by .

Dodgy. Best way if you have to is to cut the steel plate surrounding the number you want out of the donor and weld it in to the recipient . It might not go anywhere , sometimes looms are made to fit several model variants .
