Re: Princess Brake Calipers.

Well I guess that in the back of my mind I was quietly bemoaning the fact that as the years have passed, so much knowledge and hands-on experience has been lost. New owners are coming in with issues and instead of the old guard there to help them sort it out, they are told it is easier to revert to...

Re: M16 brake calipers

every time I split calipers I fit new sealing o-rings and I give the mating surfaces a quick swipe on a FLAT surface with a sheet of fine carborundum paper ( like 1200 - 2000 grit ) and degrease the heck outa them . I re use bolts if not widening the caliper , otherwise I use hi tensile bolts. keepi...

Try sitting the car on its wheels ,doing it on its side or upside down will only make it harder. The probably are brilliant bits of kit however, if “LiverpoolCapri” is happy with his work, that’s the main thing: job ...

Re: Fuel issue

Mine doesn't have a reg . I think the max pressure is 3-4.5 psi ,at 30 gallons per hour , and cost me about $90 . There are others that pump 6-9psi for carbs . I cant remember what fuel pressure the holley likes but this pump set up hasn't given me any issues.

Re: Should I be concerned about the difference in Spring Height?

I wouldnt even bother fitting them if they can be exchanged for lower ones The old ones may have originally been the same height having sagged a bit with age ( goes against "longer and stiffer" 😁) but even so the new ones shown would have to give a taller ride height. I use Burtons catalogue as a re...

Re: Using Metal Weld On Diff Cover?

And it doesn't hurt to give the bolts a bit of a whack with a hammer and punch, or a bit of heat on the bolt head if you suspect thread locking compound .As stevemarl says a ⅜ socket . I have bashed smaller sockets on before to remove rounded bolt or nuts . You sacrifice the bolts but they aint spec...
