Forget Ant McPartlin, this is a real news story! :) :agree: Fed up of him already, give me shiny 4 spokes any day 8-) It might be the angle of the picture, but the wheels look huge :? You aren't turning it into a Monster Truck are you Nick  Wasn't just me then :D I can see him now, crushing a ...

Re: My Capri

I bought it from Mr "Barnowl" last year and it's staying exactly standard and in its original colour as I've never seen another "S" in Pine Green. Hi Paul, I didn't realise you had both a 2 litre and a 3 litre S. Very nice indeed! Hopefully I'll get to see it in person one day. ...

Re: Core Plug Replaced

Cant wait to get B112 out for a drive now mate but cant till I get the mot ! If they gave out mot's for clean cars, you'd get yours in the post automatically Nick :D I guess you used your new wd40 with the fancy lid to soak those bolts. It's good that you've added a tutorial because it's great for ...

Thanks for the advice guys, I'll remove the console & old shifter today. Martin, I'll order a new one from you. Looks like a fiddly but easy fix. Thanks again for quick replies, much appreciated.

Gear lever change

After a great drive, managed to snap my gear lever today. Annoyingly, it's booked in Monday to have some work done. If I get a replacement, can this be changed from inside the car if I get the gator off or is it a box out job ? Car is stuck in reverse :banghead:

Re: MOO 732V 3.0 Ghia

Well worth the wait Les. That's a great modern take on the 3.0 Ghia, those polished 4 spokes look great against that new paint. Headlight covers look good too, and that interior looks better than I remember it. Cheers for the pictures, it's a cracking job & a great looking Capri  ( By th...

Re: Car feels weird lol

Had this feeling on a 2.0S daily I used to have. It had multi-leaf rear springs & one of them had snapped. Not sure what is fitted to the Laser but it's worth checking them in case.

Just some shots of that finished bodywork Les, the colour choice & interior work you've done are great. Be nice to remind us just how good it looks.
Cheers,

Re: First drive of the year.

Goodness me that road looks great Rob, looking at it just makes you want to fly up it. It's a great road Paul, goes on for miles, very popular with bikers & car guys alike. Always something great to see ( apart from the scenery ) , plenty of Porsches there on Sunday. You'd better not let on whe...

Re: Weston-Super-Mare Show 2018

Looked a great show (& venue), good selection of Capris, yours is looking well turned out as usual, bet it was a nice drive. Big fan of that white MK2 3.0S too, looks great with those aftermarket alloys. As does that red 240Z, the arches enhance the cars shape IMO. That red Lincoln Continental w...

First drive of the year.

Haven't had much opportunity to drive the Capri lately, it was last on the road in October, so got up early this morning, threw some tax on it & blew away the cobwebs :) . 4 years ago today, I was late for a family dinner having just become the new owner of said Capri much to my wife's surprise....

Re: Road Tax Price

Totally agree Andy. Taxed mine today, went for the tight arse option & put 6 months on it for £140. That's enough to pay for a year I recon, as same as you my insurance is little over half that.
Still, after the enjoyable drive I had in it today, it's the best £140 I've spent this year :D
