Edit: speak of the devil, he's uploaded a new video and the very first vehicle is.... being dragged out with it's rear wheels locked up! Nice MGB V8 about half way through the vid. :D It's funny to see the MGB wading through the flood, then the next car is a Mercedes G class SUV that does a u-turn ...

I know, there was one fitted to a Chevette I had in the early 90s. The sunroof must have been the deluxe model as it came with an integrated shower that I could take advantage of every single time it rained!

It's here too with some more info - https://www.drivearchive.co.uk/vehicledetails.php?CarID=16584 Well found! You can see in the photo that the car does indeed have a sunroof fitted. There's a pending comment from a few days ago, presumably pointing the author in the direction of the Ebay listing. ...

Re: First drive in an MG

I hope your enjoying your hols, Peter. The weather looks good, judging by that blue sky. I was curious though to see if I could get why everyone wants an SUV. My theory is that everybody likes the commanding driving position, being so high up. That's all an SUV offers that an estate or hatch can't. ...

Re: MK1 on ebay

Good spot, Major! It looks like the sunroof repair is years old though. I'd guess that a previous owner may have had one of those universal glass pop-up sunroofs fitted when they were all the rage in the 70s and 80s. Maybe a subsequent owner had a repair to revert it to standard spec and the result,...

Re: Fitting kenlowe electric fan in 2.8i

it`s quite safe to power it from an un-fused/ battery terminal therein, you don`t need it to be going through 2 fuses. I agree, but off the top of my head, I can't think of anywhere apart from running a wire to the battery in the boot? Assuming the standard Capri fusebox has been retained, all the ...

Your right we all say “ Fords “ it may be down to where in Fords you worked as my grandad was in the engine plant , they all went around on golf buggy’s as from one end to the other was about 2 miles . I think this is an interesting insight into working and living in the area of "Ford's":...

it can`t feed back into the system through that fan circuit??? Unless I`m missing something? As you said earlier, I think some wiring to an existing component could have been disturbed during the installation process. Maybe Tom's suggestion about a bad earth could be worth exploring, although most ...

It depends on the model. It could be anything up to 15A for a low-current model.

Re: Fitting kenlowe electric fan in 2.8i

Should the fuse be in the wire between thermostat and fan? Fitting the fuse in the supply to the relay is correct. You don't say which model of Kenlowe fan you have, but a look at the manufacturer's website suggests that a low current model can draw up to 15 amps. Just an observation, but fuse 6 al...

I like the way that people from Kent and Essex always seem to refer to the company as "Ford's" not simply "Ford". Just an observation. :)
