Re: Door handle lock matching to key

I think he means that he wants to alter the lock to work with an existing key. Unless I've read it wrong?! That's the way I read it. Perhaps a replacement lock needs to be altered to work with the same key that operates the ignition and other locks, for example. I'm sure it can be done, although I ...

Re: A bug in the forum?

Mainly seems ok for me. It has been occasionally buggy for a few days though, coming up with errors when trying to post. Had it several times yesterday, ok so far today :headscratch: Thanks for your responses. The forum seems OK right at the moment. Earlier this morning I was seeing the "gener...

Is anybody else getting persistent errors when trying to view pages or post messages this morning?
Sadly, the forum is largely unusable for me at the moment.

You mean the bonnet prop?

OK, I have to ask.....
why bother messing about when you can buy a new repro one from CCI for £34.95?

It looks like you've just had your car painted and it looks fantastic!

Re: Car Capers Game

disregard that, there are 77 currently on ebay, so not that rare after all? Some are dated 1989 so it must have been produced from mid `70s to almst 1990. Yet I`ve never heard of it `till today. Yes, there's loads on Ebay, naturally all at varying prices. I paid £6, which I thought was reasonable! ...

Thanks, Tom.
To be honest, it doesn't look like a very exciting game. I only bought it for the Capri!

Car Capers Game

Does anybody remember the Car Capers game from the 1970s and 80s? I've never hear of it before but I saw one on Ebay. The object of the game is to assemble complete cars by rolling the correct numbers on dice and collecting the corresponding part. https://i.postimg.cc/8c66xdx6/IMG-1134.jpg You've pr...

pbar wrote: Sat Apr 20, 2024 9:58 pm Well I thought the first episode was tremendous, enjoyed it a lot. Gorgeous Capri the guy has, not a colour you see very often.
I didn't watch it, but I have seen a lot of favourable reviews.

I suppose a programme about a guy stuck in the 70s would be right up your street!

Re: MK1 rear seat

Thanks. I wondered if I had to cut a little flap in the carpet to cover the screw head. The Mark 3 has a black metal cover that sits over the loop, and the screw goes through that. Is that the same for the Mark 1? If you use a black coloured screw, it won't be noticed against the black cover. Andrew.

I play Guitar/Pedal Steel Guitar with Billy. He is a great bloke! Definitely the same guy you see in interviews and a great friend. That's great! I haven't seen Billy play live, but I did see a full gig that was shown on the TV a few years ago. The backing band at the time were the Red Stars. I thi...

Re: Misfiring on 5 and 2

As you say that you've replaced the distributor, have you set up the timing as described in the Haynes manual? You've swapped out almost everything in the ignition system and still the fault remains, about the only thing you haven't swapped with a good known unit is the amplifier module. Could the c...

Re: New Professionals Model

Unfortunately my dealer, who I had this on order with, has ceased trading. So I'm currently looking elsewhere, several places seem to have a pre-order option in the UK, but most are quite baffling and vague as to when it will be available. Oh, sorry to hear that. It's always a pity to lose a local ...
