Re: 2.8 reinforcer needed

Capri Club International will probably have what you need.
https://www.capriclub.co.uk/Steel_Repla ... y--38.html
If you can't see what you need, try Trevor at Steadspeed https://en-gb.facebook.com/Steadspeed/ who may be able to handcraft you the part.

If anyone can guess the TV show I will be impressed though!
I don't know the show, but it looks like the guy from "Please Sir !". Is it?

I can't help but wonder how a "wellness retreat" can cost £4000 a week.
It sounds like a good business to be in though.

Perhaps "we're all different, but we're all equal". We've got to be inclusive, Steve. :)

If anybody does get caught breaking the law by an automated camera, it might pay to ask for photographic evidence before paying up.

When you put it like that...
To think that some people said £500 for a modern upgrade to an ESRT radio was poor value for money ! :)

Am I right in thinking that's £525 for four brackets and two threaded bars?

Yes, thanks Nick. Until about an hour ago anyway.
I hope that you are also well too.

A quick question. I'm sure that in previous photos of your stunning underside (of the car), it was painted lacquer red. Presumably you've now had it painted with underseal?

Re: Capri hot start problem

Welcome to the forum. That's a sad story. You're doing a wonderful thing by finishing the car in your Brother's memory, I really hope you are able to find the gasket that you require. There's a few sellers on Ebay that have a VV gasket set, don't they contain the gasket that you need? Have you also ...

Re: ESRT32 Radio Repair

A standard conversion on a customer supplied radio is less than £500 though. I think that's a reasonable price to pay. Besides, EightyFive has asked the forum for solutions to fix their their issue and I've responded to that request. Obviously Andrew earns too much!! I wouldn't have thought so...

on a serious note I have realised this week that my speedo reads under by about 6mph at 30mph, so I need to sort that .
Mine did that when I first had the car, I found it had an incorrect speedo drive gear. Unsurprisingly, the speedo was much more accurate once I put the correct part in.
