Re: Almost like learning to drive again!

when I am in the Capri it’s the parking sensors I miss on the back and front . You could probably mount a reverse sensor in the hole in the botom of the rear quarter panel. The hole with those rubber bungs in that you're missing. You wouldn't even notice them in there, especially as you said you're...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Not a new car show, I know, but it has been announced that the new presenters of Top Gear will be Andrew "Freddie" Flintoff and Paddy McGuinness. I'm not sure how Freddie will fare, as he is a bit of an unknown quantity, although he does come across in interviews like an interesting and li...

Re: Nice eBay 2.8i

Southwest is a strange area to sell cars as people won't always travel. No, they won't. I don't know why though, with something as specialist as the Capri you'd think people would be willing to travel nationwide in order to obtain the right car and not restrict their search to the local area. :? Th...

What a great story you have there, all from a previous owner that you didn't even know existed! That definitely adds to the history of your car.

Re: 2.8i struts

Hi Dan, Are you asking if the front struts on a 2.8 are different than on other models? The answer to that is yes. There are a few ways to tell them apart, but the easiest way is to look at the bottom of the strut. Directly above where the bottom balljoint goes, you should be able to see a short thr...

Good story, thanks for sharing.
I wonder if Steve Saxty will mention anything about it in his latest book?

Hi, Welcome to the forum! It sounds to me as though you've had some really interesting cars in your ownership over the years, however, the Capri you have now sounds like the best of the lot. Judging by your enthusiasm for Capris, you definitely made the right decision to keep it. :D Have you conside...

Hi Andy,
You can pay on the gate. That's the sensible thing to do, in my opinion, as you don't get a discount for paying in advance and you won't get a refund of the advance fee if you can't go.
