You're right, when was the last time anybody saw a 131? I don't even see them at any car shows. 21 Mirafiori and 131 are licensed in total, that explains why they are very rare 'in the wild'.

Hi Dan,
It's great to read an update of what you've been up to.
The Sierra looks like a corker, good luck with the sale.
It's also good to see some of those war re-enactment photos. Next time you see Churchill, ask him about a discount on your car insurance renewal.......... :D

Re: Blast from the past.

Hi Rob, This car would have looked the business back in the day, I'm sure your friend would have been the envy of all his mates and, dare I say, would have impressed a lot of ladies too..... :D With the greatest of respect to Paul, the car in the background looks like a VW Derby to me, the grille th...

Re: Classics @ Scolton 2018

I wonder if we could start looking at a club forum information stand as it’s the 50th of the Capri next year . Also I don’t even know where to look . Hi Jason, The forum already has a banner, they take it along to CRaP: http://i1079.photobucket.com/albums/w511/danthecaprifan56/IMG_1701_zps2wco8xac....

I'm going to get a dog if he'll buy me some Autoglym High Definition wax every year. That stuff is flipping expensive...... :)

Re: Send in the Clowns

Hi, Yes, CCTV has been set up everywhere with the intention of catching motorists and the occasional mugger, but it's no substitute for actual Policemen. For a start, a marked Police car is a visible deterrent and driving standards drastically improve when there is a copper around... However, as Pau...

I think the thought of a diesel rattle from under a Capri bonnet would sound just wrong.......... :agree: , but there are 9 cars out there, according to the DVLA.... Although it has to be said that 5 of those 9 are recorded as having the same engine capacity as the standard petrol versions, s...

Cant belive your bumper as that something I would never thought you would miss , I can only guess you was tried that day . Hi Jason, What a great present! I don't use the Autoglym wash, but I do annually use the clay bar, followed by resin polish and finally a coating of high definition wax. The paintwork feels silky smooth afterwards. I think dark coloured cars will respond especially well to the treatment, so yours sh...

That looked like a really good show. Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

I just watched Classic Car Rescue series 2 Fiat 500. I've been watching these, and I will confess that I quite enjoy it. However, it's another restoration show with exaggerated for the TV drama. There is almost always an unforseen setback that results in a comedy confrontation between Bernie and Ma...

Classics @ Scolton 2018

Morning All, At the start of June I drove down to Haverfordwest for the Classics @ Scolton show. It's a great show and definitely the best in the region, in my opinion. I stopped off on the way for a quick photo opportunity. https://farm2.staticflickr.com/1743/42673947451_fb3f1ef790_k.jpg Ford Capri...
