Removed again!

Hi,
The pins of the badges only go through the fabric and foam, not into the actual metal back support.

Re: 2.8i Special bits

Hi, I can't claim to be an "o wise one", but I can tell you the products I use. 1. I've started using Valvoline Racing VR1. It was highly recommended by users of this forum. Whatever brand you use, the common consensus is that 20W50 is the correct grade for the 2.8. 2. I use Champion RN7YC...

It was only a month ago that you drove the car for the first time, now you're already thrashing it! :D

I've never experienced this issue either with my desktop (old school!) or my Samsung tablet.

Re: Recaro badges

Hi,
As Noel says, you should be able to slip your hand behind the backrest to retrieve the pins. They are made of metal, not plastic.
Reattaching them with any great success could be difficult. You could always try gluing them in position if you don't fancy forking out for replacements.

Still not a bad price though, considering.
Unless my eyes deceive me, the 2.8 tank shown in the CCI photos has multiple dents in.

Re: Ford Capri 2.8i special

Hi Ryan, If I was you, I'd sell the car as is. You could pour thousands of pounds into a restoration, and that's fine if you intend to keep the car, but it's unlikely to increase the value of the car by as much as you've spent. Off topic, but I'm curious. I notice that you are able to link to your P...

Re: Tickford Capri

I just never got the grill, or sheet of plastic, they nailed on the front. Perhaps the inspiration for that came from AM's own V8 Vantage? https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/af/1978_Aston_Martin_V8_Vantage_fliptail_in_Morges_2013_-_Front_right_%28level%29.jpg Andrew.

Hi, That's a real corker you've got there. Niiice! In my opinion, black is one of the best colours for a Capri. If want to show photos in your post, simply click on the share arrow (2nd icon to the right of the photo). Click on BBcode and copy the highlighted text. Next, simply past the text into yo...

Re: To Restore or Reupholster Leather Steering Wheel?

Great repair job! 8-)
Judging by the condition of the wheel in the first photo, most people would have condemned that one to the scrap pile and bought a replacement. That's money saved that can be spent elsewhere on the car....

Re: Tickford Capri

I like all capris and also think they look fine as they are, but still like the Tickford. Thank goodness, I was beginning to think that I was the only one! I am shocked at how few Tickfords appear to have survived. The DVLA site says there are 24 in this country (plus a few more that are registered...
