More than I thought it would fetch. The condition must be good enough for the bidders to think that the car is a genuine low miler.

Hi Andy,
Yes, a varied turnout of cars as usual. A car or two for every taste!
The black XR3i usually turns up to the meets with the Capri boys, so I would guess he is local to the Bristol area.

Thanks Danny.
Does that mean that all went well with your recent MOT?
If you do go along, I'll make it the first QS meet of the year with my Capri too!

Queen Square April 2018

Hi Folks, Here are some photos from the latest meet. As ever, where better to start than the Fords, and the Capri is first on the list! :) I've seen this one loads of times, but this was it's show debut on 15" CCI rims. https://farm1.staticflickr.com/894/40602354764_96cfe1bc43_k.jpg Ford Capri ...

also the speedo should hopefully be getting towards more accuracy than other way. Hi Nick, According to Willtheyfit.com, there should be a 4.13% difference in speedo reading between your old and new set up. https://www.willtheyfit.com/index.php?width=185&aspect=60&diameter=13&wheelwidth...

Not unless the person is getting pulled over for something else anyway (black and silver registration plates? :) ), and then they might check the sunglasses. Some Police do carry the light meter things for testing tinted glass.

Re: 2.8i Oil Cooler Tightening Torque

Many thanks guys. I didn't find that, or missed it, in my supplement. Hi, Noel is referring to the 2.8 supplement in the Ford workshop manual, not the owner's manual. If you haven't already got one, it's definitely worth buying. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Capri-Workshop-Manual-Injection-Supplement/dp...

Same here. That must be tight enough as there is no sign of oil seepage there.

Re: Alloy Wheel sealant.

I did wonder if it was wrong as I have kept my old plates in the boot A good thing to do. Simply explain to the nice officer that you have only just put the black plates on. If you swap them over at the roadside, the Police are extremely unlikely to issue a ticket. I haven't looked into it, but the...

Re: You Learn Something New Every Day

In my experience, women (especially blonde) driving a Fiat 500 or 4x4 should never be on the road wearing sunglasses  On a 'B' road they have no idea where the centre of the road is, and hate getting in close to a hedge to enable oncoming cars to get through. Obviously speaking from experienc...

Hi,
Yes, it's worth going along if you're in the area. It's held on the second Sunday of every month.
There are usually a few Capris there, and sometimes some forum members also go.

Re: Millers Oils VSPe Power Plus

I've just recently started using the Miller's instead of Castrol Valvemaster that I was using before. I hope it's good stuff as it's a lot more expensive than Castrol. One full bottle only treats 40 litres of fuel! You've been using it for a while now, haven't you Nick? What is your opinion of it? A...

I bought it from Mr "Barnowl" last year and it's staying exactly standard and in its original colour as I've never seen another "S" in Pine Green. Hi Paul, I didn't realise you had both a 2 litre and a 3 litre S. Very nice indeed! Hopefully I'll get to see it in person one day. ...
