Re: Fuel tanks - Latest batch now available.

They aren't going to be manufactured indefinitely though are they? Once demand dwindles to nothing, no supplier is going to want to commit to having a batch made....

Re: 1000 mile laser

Yes check the blokes feedback as the last person who bid on the car says it’s more like a million miles . Good call, Jason. The person you mention bid £5300 for it.... But look at how deceptive the photos are on the original listing. They don't show the O/S/R wheel arch at all, or much of the...

Re: 1000 mile laser

If the mileage is genuine, and like most of us I have my doubts, in this case I don't see the low mileage as a selling point. The overall condition of the car makes the benefit of low mileage irrelevant. Whether this car has 1000 miles or 101,000 the whole car is still going to need restoring and ov...

Re: What colour paint

Hi,
Ian (mellow yellow) sells the stickers and they are great quality. I think he's mainly on Capri World (Facebook) these days.
I think the best person to ask about the colour of the rocker covers is Martin at Caprigear. I'm sure he'd know.

Re: Queen Square at Amphitheater January ‘19

Hi Andrew Is the bristol meet backon now? Hi Mark, Yes and no. The meets are still organised, but they aren't allowed to hold them in Queen Square. They move the meets to various locations around the Bristol area. There is one due to be held at Queen Square later this year (apparently one per year ...

Re: Queen Square at Amphitheater January ‘19

Hi Rob, Great photos as always, thanks for uploading them. 8-) The Capri looks amazing, as does that 240Z and Corey's BRZ too! You must have booked early as the spaces were quite limited and I believe were taken quite soon after the location was announced. What a brilliant way to lift the winter blu...

Re: E reg 1600 laser

I can't figure out how to put photos on here Hi, I really think it would help to sell the car if you had lots of very good quality photos. Here's how to post them to the forum, (info supplied by Paul): This assumes you have a pic on your computer (for example on your desktop) already - 1. Go to htt...

Re: New Capri owner! - Need some help!!

I think I may have one of the earliest models. I don't have a 'U' button nor a 'FM' only buttons I have are 'L'/'M'. I guess this means replacing it for something a bit newer. Are they any aftermarket radios that slot into the original hole or am I better of going for an original one that can recei...

Hi Nick,
Thanks for posting the photo. That is incredible! Des should be very proud of what's been done. It's been a long road for him, but it looks like the project is close to completion now.

Re: Interior Light Bargain

Yeah, lets all start asking the seller funny questions. Im going to ask him if he will reduce the price for a pair. Start by asking them if they really think it will cost £15 to post. OK, so the decription does state that "any overpayment will be refunded", but considering the price of th...

Re: New Capri owner! - Need some help!!

I think from memory that the 'L' button is for Longwave (AM) and the 'M' is for mediumwave (FM) so press the M and scroll through the frequency using the right hand dial The L button is for Longwave and the M is for mediumwave, they are both AM. The FM button is usually marked with FM, although som...

Re: New Capri owner! - Need some help!!

Hi, Welcome to the forum and congratulations on buying the car of your dreams! :D The radio noise definitely sounds like a suppression issue to me. I think most HT leads these days have built in suppressors, although you can get in-line ones that fit on the distributor cap. You can also get a suppre...

Re: Heater Motor subsitute

Personally, I'd be wary about using incorrect parts in the Capri. The two parts might be externally similar, but if they really were interchangeable, wouldn't they just have the same Bosch part number? Is there a possibility of electrical issues, maybe overheating, by fitting the incorrect unit? For...

Re: Worth complaining

That's sneaky, and it's lucky that you are on top of the situation, Peter. I guess a lot of people would have taken the RAC at their word and assumed that they would freeze the renewal premium as promised, and not bothered to check their bank statements.
