Due to the weather and last weekends experience
I'm curious, what happened last weekend?

The Cheddar Gorge thing sounds good, I hope you have a great time.

Re: Accumulator

How are they fitted into unions are they just warmed up and pushed on,thinking I could cut a 1" off and push on The standard unions are barbed and it's very difficult to push them on. When you think that the operating pressure of the system is 79 PSI (5.5 BAR), it's probably a good thing that the p...

Look forward to reading them!

Did that chap on YouTube ever do that review of your car? I can't recall seeing it.

Re: A few jobs today

It's good that you're able to get these little jobs done.
I like the heatshield things for the H.T. leads, but is it not possible to angle the leads so they don't go near the manifold?

Good selection of Capri photos, Peter.
Did you get your Brooklands photo from the company that was selling them at the show or the chap who was selling them on Facebook?

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Did anyone watch this? I forgot that it was on. I'm not that bothered as I wasn't going to go out my way to watch it, but I'll try and catch another episode anyway. There's not much else on at the moment in terms of realistic car restoration shows. Where are Bernie and Mario when you need them? :lo...

Re: corplugs

One is listed as, 38.2mm and the other is 39.9mm - for all Cologne motors from, 2.0 to 2.8i. Curiously though, they also list a full set of core plugs that consists of 11x 38.2mm (plus the 51mm plug), there is no mention of the set having any 39.9mm plugs. The exploded diagram of a 2.9 cylinder hea...

Re: Sunroof Handle

As far as I'm aware, the (uppermost side when fitted in the car) of the circular trim has a protruding lip around the centre screw hole, this fits the handle to the right of Danny's photo. Obviously because of this lip the trim will not fit the handle to the left in the photo unless it is modified b...

Re: Sunroof Handle

Also, re. there being 3 types, are these backwards compatible, or do they just need their particular variant trim? Surely the mechanism in the roof is the same in all cars? I mean it`s just a splined shaft with a screw in the end. So any handle `assembly` (ie handle and trim) will fit any car? As y...

Re: Sunroof Handle

Something I didn't know and not sure if anyone else does as I've not seen it mentioned before is that there are apparently two different types of handles... This was mentioned a while back in the club magazine. I seem to recall John mentioning that there are three different types of handle. Andrew.

I can't see any mention that it's a genuine Ford panel in the description. Is it?

The coin looks great!
Is this one of those that they advertise on the telly? You know, the ones where they have some retired Air Commodore tell you to hurry up and buy now because stocks are limited...…..to the amount that they can sell. :)

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

Don't think it's my cup of PG, part of classic car fun is that they are noisy and smelly :) I feel the same, although we might all have to do an electric conversion in a few years time to be able to keep our cars on the road. I might watch an episode or two of this if the featured car interests me....

Re: MOT's extended for six months

Insurance and MOT are far more important than tax. I did 500 miles in the Capri last year, and paid more tax in those 5 months than someone that drove 20,000 miles in a modern car, that probably caused more emissions overall... Perhaps the Government think we should pay more because we had a lot mo...
