Re: Haynes Breakfast Meet September 2018

Some more great pictures Andrew. Loved that mildly modified Nissan 300ZX & the red Fiat coupe looked like a cross between a mk1 Cortina & Sunbeam Rapier, never seen one before. Big fan of that Dodge Challenger & that Black Camaro sounded fantastic. Cheers for the extra pics  Che...

I don't know, although the series is planned to be 20 episodes in total, so it could be another 9 weeks away from being shown.

Re: What a transformation !!

A little further info, thanks to Steve Saxty. "Capri Laser - part of a trio comprising Escort and Sierra limited editions". No mention of when Lasers started production, although he says that the planning would have started 18 months before the October '84 introduction.

Re: What a transformation !!

As far as I can remember the Laser actually was introduced as a limited edition before being adapted as the mainstream model in about September of 1984. The Jaremy Walton book states under June 1984 " Laser special edition debut on UK (1.6/2.0)". Whether special means limited edition or n...

Haynes Breakfast Meet September 2018 (Ford)

Morning All! As some of you will be aware, a few of us forum members recently met up to go to the Haynes museum breakfast meet in Somerset. Andy's great organisation skills ensured that we parked in prime positions in the car park at the front of the museum......but it also meant an early start. Her...

Re: New Car Programme on TV Soon

I watch most car related programmes but cannot stand her she used to be on another show that was equally as naff. Hi Mark, I thought that both the presenters were reasonable, if a little bland. There wasn't anything about the girl that I thought would grate on anybody's nerves, but maybe personalit...

Not the point, I know, but that is an interesting photo. That Laser 1.6 was registered in June 1984, the first month the Laser went on sale.
That must be the earliest survivor.

Re: Where is the Capri When You Need it?

You want to give hulme end a go in the Manifold Valley in Derbyshire. Very good tunnel for some windows down exhaust action. I used to have a RS1600I with a Janspeed sounded good. Thanks for the suggestion. I've had a look online and that tunnel looks almost identical to this one, albeit a little l...

Was that Ian (mellow-yellow)?
If so, I think he tends to be on Capri Power more than this forum so it might be worth messaging him on there.
I've had a few stickers from him and they have all been top quality.
