Re: Ignition barrel de sticking

That last part I can't get in - do they match each individual key as well? If so I won't be able to match this key to it I'm guessing.... Hi Danny, Although I've never deconstructed an ignition lock, I'm guessing that you are correct and the bit sticking up locks the steering when the key is wit dr...

Re: Capri-stang

A lot of time, effort and money has obviously gone into creating one person's vision of their perfect Capri.
I think it's fair to say it won't suit everybody's tastes. I think it looks OK, but I much prefer a factory standard looking car.

I'm sure I read that somebody was reproducing these, although I can't find any mention of it on the internet so I might just have dreamed it!

You can't beat a good fitting car cover :)
Actually, it was very windy that day. Even still, you wouldn't get that situation with a fitted stormforce cover.

Capri Spotted!

I spotted this Capri parked fairly locally to me. Does it belong to anybody on here?

The rather thin plot sees him tasked with stealing 48 desirable vehicles in just five days - a pretext, really, for a series of spectacular car chases, culminating in a 40-minute driving sequence Who needs a plot when you've got a 40 minute driving sequence? :D I haven't seen the film, but I'll che...

Police presence this month and from 11.35 you can see a flashing blue light The Police presence isn't a complete surprise, it was pretty much inevitable. Although there are a lot of modern cars at Haynes, personally I feel that there are more than enough classic cars of interest to make a trip once...

Thanks for the heads up, Andy! B & C is definitely one of the best car shows on the TV, I really enjoyed the last series. Above all, it's genuine with no TV fakery.

Re: Poly handbrake bush

It's strange that some people seem to have difficulty fitting the handbrake bush whereas others don't. I wonder if it's down to whether the diff cover is genuine or not? Perhaps the reproduction parts have a slightly larger sleeve than the genuine cover, or vice versa.

Re: Axle location kit help

Another quick point about the axle location kit. I'm perfectly happy to drive within the limits of the car as it is and not try to make it into something it wasn't designed to be. Others have a differing view and that's fine. It would be a boring world if we all had the same opinions.

for example, in a world population of 7.7 billion people how comes only 20 maybe 30 people are good enough to drive Formula 1 racing driver's, if it really is only about the car and not the skills of the driver then surely anyone could do it? I've got to step in here and point out that a career in ...

Hi Nick,
Your latest purchase looks superb and it will be the finishing touch to your superb looking engine.
Are you sure the "Cosworth" wording on the rocker cover isn't a hint at what you have planned for Tickover visit number 6? :D
