Re: Aldi Capri T-Shirt

Picked one of these up a few weeks back, was absolutely stunned to see a shirt with a Capri on it. Forgot to mention it when I saw them.

Re: So...im assuming this is a bearing issue?

Cool thanks, I'll get some new bearings ordered. Hey, if it wasn't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all

And people wonder why I have issues :xd: :xd:

Re: So.... throttle cables

Thanks guys. Ive gone ahead and ordered one from an ebay seller, looks slightly different from the one that snapped so hopefully its slightly better, these things seem to be pot luck. Didnt think to ask Martin for some reason, sorry. It snapped at the opposite end this time, at the assembly point un...

Re: So.... throttle cables

It's funny, but it seems everything that goes wrong on this car is due to an aftermarket part failing. Says alot doesn't it?

So.... throttle cables

As I sit here stranded since the throttle cable I bought from Burton's less than a few months ago to replace an old cable which also snapped and left me stranded too, I'm wondering if anyone knows a better place to get throttle cables from as it seems clear that the ones from Burton are complete shi...

Re: Rear light wiring problem

I fixed my issue today and it was a combination of a bad earth, and the zinc plated housings rusting away. As the screw that holds everything in go in they are supposed to make contact via some washers to the housings. There's two rings on each side and these are corroding away, so I'd imagine this ...

Re: Best super glue on the market?

I used to use something called plastic fusion when I built models. Once fully cured it was like concrete, but still had enough flex to prevent cracking under stress. Took ages to fully cure though, and dried a whitish beige colour and required sanding and painting afterwards, but it was the best stu...

I'm pretty sure that my friend Alan (deals in Capri parts and spares, etc.) had some new ones for sale. You can always phone or text him - 07757947080 Just mention Paul with the red Laser. He's a nice guy. https://s6.postimg.org/6gl37stq9/Capture.jpg Unless he sends them to the wrong address and th...

Re: Deja Vu

I went out in mine yesterday which was arguably the worst day so far and everything was fine. My old 2.0s performed perfectly. Had a bit of fun with some intentional sideways action but when I wasn't mucking around and drove like you should in such conditions the car was fine and tackled anything I ...

Re: Rear light wiring problem

I have the exact same problem, so I was wondering if this got fixed too. I'm useless with electrics, don't know how to work a multimeter and much rather avoid doing anything in this cold if it's not going to help anyway.

Re: Custom front valance

You can buy an RGA front spoiler which imo improves upon the original in every way, whilst making it look slightly more aggressive without going over the top. I have some high quality fibreglass replicas for sale if you're interested, much cheaper than any of the online vendors too.

Re: Is it possible to upgrade the in car heating fan?

All done! Its bloody AMAZING! Never thought i'd be at the point in my life where i'd be getting excited about an in-car heater fan but there you go. Its such an upgrade too! The slowest speed is 2x faster than the fastest speed from the old motor, and the fast speed might as well be a hurricane! :lo...

Re: Is it possible to upgrade the in car heating fan?

Gutted the interior of my car to get the heater box out. That's lower dash, glove box, steering column loosened (as I can't get the lower dash section with the hazard switch on it if I don't), radio out, facia off and entire center console out. ( I swear I can probably take one of these dashboards a...

Re: Anyone know anything about HID's?

MOT rules are changing this year. HID bulbs that are fitted to light units without auto height correctors and headlamp washers will be a fail. Good to know, as it's been such a wishy-washy grey area for some time now, glad there's finally going to be some conclusive answer. I hope all the idiots ru...
